Unity is a powerful game engine! It would defnitely attend all our needs for a Smash 64 Remake. I've never heard about SDL, it's quite interesting. But I don't think it would be the greatest option for a 3D game (I might be wrong, tho!). If enough people wish to work using SDL im fine with it...
