What to do when bored of Ganondorf?

Okay, heresy, I know, I know. Most of the time, I ****ing love playing Ganondorf. Stomping people, Wavelanding like a G, all that good ****. I always get bored of it after a while, though. It gets a little repetitive. Whenever that happens, I just put down Ganon for a few days, or a week, and...

Q&A How to Wreck *****es with Ganon?- Linguini Q&A Thread

Hitting both the OOS Nair and a DJ F-Air is pretty reliant on percent/opponent's DI, Nair has too much variance in knockback to play the second hit any way but reactionary. I generally opt for a D-Tilt if they F-tilt me out of their range, and if I can I try for an up-air, or, and this is only...

Q&A How to Wreck *****es with Ganon?- Linguini Q&A Thread

Dude I don't even know what to do with Ganon in teams. I kinda just drift around throwing f-airs, but I always get bodied by Fox, Sheik, and Puff. Ganon seems like he would be insane in teams, but he just doesn't seem to have the recovery for it.

Q&A How to Wreck *****es with Ganon?- Linguini Q&A Thread

Hey man! I'm gonna try and show up next weekend, but that's uncertain. Schoolwork and whatnot. I'll shoot you a message when I know for sure.

    How to fight Laser-happy Flacos?

Platform movement/banning FD. Wavedashing/wavelanding can be a good way to make sure you move quickly and safely, and you can intercept crossup nairs with down-angled f-tilt, d-tilt, and even down-smash. Once he's in the air, combo for days.

Q&A How to Wreck *****es with Ganon?- Linguini Q&A Thread

I think that as important as developing Ganon's punish game is, at least some attention ought to be given to Ganon's defensive game. We play a character who straight up dies to being knocked offstage at all, so it's essential to know when to spotdodge, when to shield, and when to back off...

Q&A How to Wreck *****es with Ganon?- Linguini Q&A Thread

Sheik is imo the main reason any Ganon looking to get competitive ought to pick up a secondary. Obviously we've seen good Ganons beat Sheik tons of times, and the chain grab we have certainly helps, but it's just so easy for Sheik to trash Ganon. I have a Falco for Vs. Sheik, which has brought...

Q&A How to Wreck *****es with Ganon?- Linguini Q&A Thread

On the Subway: I generally think about matchups I have problems with, and what I'm going to do differently. When I win: I try to think about what I did really well, and why my opponent lost to me. When I lose: What they did to get most of their kills, what I did to get killed, and how I can...

Q&A How to Wreck *****es with Ganon?- Linguini Q&A Thread

As mentioned before, watch games. If you find footage of players around your skill level, watch the **** out of it. See if you can get in contact with any players in your area (Facebook would be your best bet) and get some games in with them, but if you can't, no worries. Have a basic working...

    What to practice offline?

Movement. Plug in a second controller so you can get an opponent that doesn't move/attack (though a level 1 CPU doesn't do all that much anyway) and just practice moving. If you ever drop L-Cancels, work on those, and try them both whiffing the attack and hitting the attack, as the timing is...

If Melee HD was a thing, should/would their be re balancing.

There's no nerf to Ganon's B-Air in PAL, which is why where a lot of NTSC Ganons use F-Airs mostly, PAL players use B-Air a lot more.

    NYC TOURNAMENTS

Nebulous ran Smash 4/P:M tournaments on Sunday down in Chinatown. They switched locations a few weeks ago, and I'm not sure if they Wii U/P:M Tournaments have started up again. I would check there, though. They run Melee on Saturday if you play that, but I realize this thread is about Wii U.

If Melee HD was a thing, should/would their be re balancing.

The issue is that if they rebalance Melee HD, the community gets divided over people who like the changes, and people who don't, and honestly, after 14 years of Melee, I feel like people would prefer to stick with old Melee. Unless the changes were very careful, and very good changes, I know I'd...
