I got Smash 64 because the commercial was (and still is) awesome. I did not "main" anyone on that.
I rented Melee many times before buying it, but when I did, it was always an intense battle between myself (Young Link) and my brother (Falco).
I bought Brawl the night it came out. I learned to use everyone because I didn't want the battles to be the same every time like it was in Melee. Except for Metaknight. I didn't learn him because I felt he was too cheap to learn for a fair fight. My best 3 in Brawl were Ness, Lucas, and after I was shown their awesome power, the Ice Climbers.
Now that Lucas and the Ice Climbers are cut, and Ness has been ultra-nerfed, I decided to choose Rosalina and Luma as my new mains, as I have already learned to pay attention to 2 areas at once anyways.
I hope to get into the competitive community now because I greatly miss the days of playing Brawl in college.
