I first played melee in 02 and thought the game was dumb and confusing, there was too much going on with 4 players and weapons on. I had a hard time keeping an eye on myself and lost a lot as a result. But I didn't care as I felt my friends and I were just wasting our time on this game. Until one day, the day I learned my characters move set and understood the physics of the game. I've been hooked ever since. The smash series is by far the most competitive fighting game I've ever played. Others can not touch it in my opinion, which is why I say it's the best game ever!!
