What heights do you guys set your battlefield platforms to to practice movement?

I know that in previous versions of PM, you could l-cancel Pit's glide attack, and I can't seem to do it anymore. Did they remove that in 3.5? It's not in the changelog. Was it removed in 3.0 and I am just remembering a while ago? Nevermind! You never could. I am just confused!
