    Anybody in Chicago suburbs (orland, tinley, oak forest etc.) who knows of smash 4 tournaments within an hour from chicago? Or is melee still the only prominent game here.

    First tournament, stage questions.

    I'm a firm believer in learning by loss, and I'm just ok at smash, but I'm going to attend a tournament. I know what stages are allowed, but what types of stages counter what types of characters? I know very little about why a stage is a counter pick. I plan to play melee, PM, and Wii U.
