    Project M vs Melee

PM feels a lot smoother in 3.6. Now I actually enjoy moving around with Falco.

    Project M vs Melee

They aren't exactly static yet. Everyone used to say Sheik beats Marth because of her raw punish game. Now people are saying that the matchup is evening itself out as Marth's get better at the neutral. Falcon is seeing development as a legitimate character nowadays; he's not just for styling...

    Project M vs Melee

You couldn't ask for better balance from the "accident" that is Melee. Considering the ever-growing numbers, I'd say the Melee community at large isn't all that concerned about the balance PM wants to achieve.

    Project M vs Melee

In either game, you can't ever be satisfied if you insist that characters are jank(unless they're broken or something). Without some jank, there is only so much you can do to a character to make them unique from the rest. Pretty much any decent character has something a little janky about them...

    Project M vs Melee

@Narpas_sword In PM even the most perfect of wavedashes look really "bouncy." It's really ugly to look at, whereas in Melee it doesn't even look like you even elevated off the ground at all. This is most easily seen when a Fox waveshines in succession. In PM he's bouncing up and down. It really...

    Project M vs Melee

The Devs certainly made wavelanding in PM, but they didn't replicate the same fluidity of the Melee waveland. Fox is the same in both games which have the same essential mechanics, so how does Hax look so much smoother in Melee? Because the engine is just smoother. Simple as that.

    Project M vs Melee

This seems subjective, and it mostly is. But the difference is that Melee really should feel better. The PM Devs put Melee techs in an originally Brawl engine. You can't expect the same flow and smoothness from a PM waveland compared to the natural Melee waveland. Spacies feel this way the most...

    Project M vs Melee

Nah bruh. I played PM first and yet I like Melee's physics better. Although I see what you're saying and that's completely fair. It might also be that it varies from character to character, cause Samus is a lot different from Falco.

I need help with lazer approaches

Don't laser so much. It's not about how many you shoot, but how timely they are. Always mix it up and keep them guessing.

    Project M vs Melee

If people cared so much about balance and extra characters, then Melee players would have switched over. There are still a lot of Melee players who use bad characters and they can enjoy the game just as much as Fox players. I think PM is better. But personally I like Melee better cause the...

    Why the hate on smash4?

@Red Royu Since when was the "lack of balance" a real hindrance for the Melee community at large? The game has way too many other positives that heavily outweigh character balance. Otherwise Melee wouldn't be so damn big with a pretty good bunch of mid/low tier mains out there too. Plus even...

    Why the hate on smash4?

I don't think this gets enough mention but so many characters' movesets, physics, and playstyles are changed(less fun) between Melee and Smash 4. For example, Melee Fox/Falco are characterized by SHFFL aerials, lasers, and the shine. You don't get any of that in Smash 4 and that really sucks for...

    Why the hate on smash4?

Melee's engine allows for deeper gameplay compared to Smash 4, not just speed or skill ceiling.
