I see what you mean by the Marth example, but I can't say that Samus is near ZSS in terms of match-ups. When I fight Samus up close, I feel no pressure, at all. Zero's tilts just come out too fast for Samus to really do anything in close combat. This might be because of how I play, or maybe not...

You should stop doing down B off the stage at ground level (unless your opponent is under pressure), if you use that jump and get hit with anything before reaching the stage, you are gimped. And even if you use up B to bring him down with you, Sonic's up B will probably get him back to the stage...

Try not to roll as much, don't use so many forward smashes either unless your opponent is not in a neutral position. Meaning that he can block, run, attack, jump, etc... Also, don't swing the forward Smash when you are so far away, this will just make it so you are unable to block lasers. I...
