Byleth is significantly more likely to stay than Corrin. It's just that I agree with the general sentiment around Corrin (they're done), but I disagree with the general sentiment about Byleth (they're staying).

I really do love Byleth. I play them all the time. But I really do think they have the most overrated chances of coming back.

People are looking at the timing completely wrong. The era we need to be looking at isn't the late Switch. It's any game released from 2018 onward. Most of the Switch era is up for grabs.
