Some weeks ago, I met someone at Discord who said that Marvel as a whole sucked ass except for Spider-Man and that a second Marvel season in Fortnite would suck ass.
And those statements baffled me for various reasons:
-Spider-Man literally collabs with all of Marvel in most of his comics. It doesn't make sense to say for example that The Fantastic Four or Punisher suck ass but Spider-Man doesn't because the former has been literally there since the first Amazing Spider-Man comic, and the Punisher literally started as a Spider-Man antagonist.
-Ok, so Fortnite already had one Marvel season and there are leaks of a second one. I can see why people could have a problem with that when we haven't had seasons about other specific IPs, but we can't say that a new Marvel season is gonna kill Fortnite when Epic is literally a multimillion dollar company and has an average of 200000 players daily.
-Legit, why do people want to gatekeep Fortnite characters now? I don't like It with Smash Bros either, but at least with that you have the argument that there are limited slots per DLC Packs and such. What is the excuse with Fortnite? A live service Game designed to last for as long as possible and which is constantly adding literally everyone?
-And finally, you can just not play the Marvel season if you don't like Marvel and save v-bucks for the next one, simple as that. You won't lose sleep over the Fantastic Four getting added earlier to Fortnite than your favourite character.
