A lot of people creating and discussing movesets really don't understand that Smash is supposed to be a fighting game, not the battle mode of Super Mario Crossover. Game accuracy is good but nowhere near as important as making a good fighting game character. Min Min or Simon should be redesigned long before Ganondorf or Wario are even considered for a redesign.

As a Crash supporter, the biggest possible disappointment his moveset could give me is being a direct port of his Crash 3 skills with no regard for playstyle or the fighting game context. If I wanted to play as Crash as seen in Crash 3 I'd just play Crash 3.

Simon translated into Smash really well though. Long ranged fighters have always been a staple of fighting games, because just whine about tbem because thet just want to press forward and combo without thinking about approach or nuetral.
Thinking back to when I got a post deleted for character dissuasion. Since then, superheavies have become infuriatingly difficult to fight, let alone beat, so I officially give up on looking down on them.

It is interesting you should say that. From what I can tell, no disparaging is complete without listing at least one super heavy character. Having said that, I believe your statement above is one more chalk mark for the Dynamic Tier List Theory (which I am still figuring).

It really depends on the superheavy, tbh. To most, Bowser is good enough to be high tier (which is ironic since he's the heaviest), but the rest range from mid tier to Ganondorf tier. I struggle heavily against those below Bowser, which is super discouraging. Heck, Ganondorf even caused me to throw a fit on here more times than I can remember.

So if some people can make them seem busted, I can't say anything anymore.

You should not be hard on yourself because an idolized group of players agreed upon a tier list whose bottom elements give you trouble defeating. I think more likely than your potential as a Smash Bros. player being to blame is that your style or methods may be prone to exploitation by certain characters more than others. You should examine your play habits closely and ask not "Why am I so bad?" but "How can I use these habits to my advantage, and what about it is in need of improvement or compensation?"
I get that they're trying to make the game an online experience that lasts for years, but TBH Bandai Namco still releasing DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and still porting it to literally every new console (Including the Stadia!!) feels kinda like oversaturation to me. Especially because the DLC cycle for FighterZ, which released after Xenoverse 2, is basically done now. People liked FighterZ a lot more, too.
Luigi's Mansion Arcade is such a weird game when it comes to rights. A game developed by Capcom, published by Sega, in series owned by Nintendo and with designs by Next Level Games (which is now owned by Nintendo, but wasn't at the time)

If one more studio was involved, this game would have had the same amount of studios's hands on it as Project X Zone
I have mixed feelings on the use of dark tones and edge in Modern Sonic games, and I was going to write a long paragraph, but I decided to shrink it down to an easily digestable sentence that sums up everything:

In a better Sonic game, the first level of Shadow the Hedgehog would be the final level

I don't think modern Sonic games are that edgy

but maybe I'm just desensitized to it
It's funny seeing people single out specific companies like Netflix or Activison as "anti-consumer and evil" on websites like NintendoLife.

Soapboxing writers aside, I think Comcept is the only company I can think of to successfully turn off all of their consumers. At least the others do at least one thing right somehow, while that one fumbled six ways to sunday to the point that Inafune had to retreat to Inti Creates.

almost every game company is "evil"

but I think Nintendo is better than say, EA or Activision
You know...maybe a Poké Ball promotion wouldn't be as egregious for same-game DLC as an Assist Trophy. After all, Pokémon are just members of a species; Sakurai and his team can just pick a specific Pokémon of the same species to add as playable, and they can appear as both playable and a Poké Ball summon at once.

Depends on how much The Pokémon Company cares about anyone that's not a Smash veteran or flavor of the month. At the end of the day, it's their call before any other party's.

Certain Assist Trophies may also have that workaround. Like, if Sak wanted to add Shadow, he could just make the model low-poly (or make the highlights yellow) and call it a Shadow Android. Or Waluigi could be replaced with his possessed counterpart from Tennis Aces.
I like how while most of the newly-added original music track rips in Ultimate's base game were put in to account for newer releases at the time (some did get like one or two additions from a somewhat older game like Melty Monster, CROWNED or the Peace Walker theme though), one of the new additions was just them dumping the entire soundtrack for the original F-Zero in there
I don't get why people would rather have games translated than localised. I prefer to play a unique take on the game adjusted for my region with its own creative liberties, not a direct clone of the Japanese version.

To me, it being a different product is the appeal.

Fair enough. For me personally, I would just prefer a different product at that point, not an edit of a preestablished one. To each their own, though! :)

IMO If I created media and people from other regions wanted to get the "original intent" of the work, I would prefer them to experience a work that might have a few alterations to fit their culture than to get a work that is literal and might be confusing/rough for their culture

(not to mention the fact that "literal translations" are awful and that's the whole reason google translate is flawed)
Smash counting Wrecking Crew as its own separate universe is an enigma that will forever haunt me to my grave
I remember I used to wait for someone to make a profile post so I didn’t post two at once. Nowadays, like yeah, I don’t mind making a few profile posts back to back. It wasn’t really ever a big deal
I don't know why I thought it was a good idea to pay £15 for Namco Museum Archives Volume 1, a game that uses inferior ports as a selling point, but what's done has been done. Please impliment a proper refund system, Nintendo.

Still classic games so I can't be too mad. If both volumes were sold together for £15 it'd absolutely be worth it.
You got a discord or something? If not, are you able to add NA LoL players?

Not sure, actually... I'm not on the NA server either. Not sure if it's even an option.

no discord either i take it. i may take a break from sb for a while but if i finish one or both of my gmvs i'll bump that one dm so you can share em in the appropriate threads
God damn it Burger King, you could've just changed your icon to "Burger Queen" for the day, but nope. You just had to pull a wacky bait and switch.
You know, i really wanted all the DLC to be announced so that i could stop waiting and thinking about smash but... Now that there's only two characters remaining, i feel almost kind of sad.
I don't think we're getting a third round either, these are the last two characters for smash ultimate, waiting for new ssbU characters has been a part of my life for almost 3 years now, it's gonna be weird knowing that the roster is finally complete.
It’s kind of weird seeing the avatar next to a support thread being a completely different character that the thread is supporting.

Of course, it’s not like there’s something wrong with picking a different avatar than a character you support, but I’m just so used to avatars being of the character in the support thread that it seems kind of weird otherwise
