1. These starters are butt *** ugly. Original 151 ftw..... they actually put thought into them. These aren't just designed badly, they're also drawn badly -- double failure.

2. I think I'm the only person who actually likes the female trainer's look, lol. Don't like the danglies by the sides of her face, but she's rockin the ridiculously high ponytail. I ****s with it.

3. I'm only going to play this game since I can hack it. There, I said it.

Maybe I'm just getting too old for this series, but 5th gen is looking mighty ******** to me. It's painfully obvious that they're churning out badly designed crap just to ride the games' popularity as long as possible and make easy money. Boo to that.

Every gen had bad pokemon, and the later gens had some good ones.

But overall, imo, the quality's taken a nosedive since the first game. GSC wasn't bad, but RSE was when it was kinda like "okay..... more pokemon? Meh, guess this is all right...." then DPPt was the definite cutoff point for me.

The number of butt *** ugly, ridiculous, we're-obviously-fishing-hard-for-ideas-now pokemon goes up and up every generation. They're forcing it.

Like I said: imo, the fifth gen pokemon are designed badly and drawn badly. They're ugly to me and uninspired looking, point blank. Zorua/Zoroark gave me some hope since they have pretty good designs, but these starters are crap.

Note that I said the designs are bad, not the concepts behind them. I don't care if they want to make a fire pig, but at least make a decent one, not something that looks. Well. Like ****.

The designs. For the most part, they designed well off the concepts they were working with [in RBY]. That's what I meant by "put thought into them."

There's a difference between making a grass snake that looks kinda cool and taking the same idea but drawing the first thing that pops into your mind.

I dunno. Just looks to me like they're being lazy.

The Water Pokemon can't have Snow Warning though. It'll have Torrent.


EDIT: The abilities have been confirmed. The starters have Overgrow, Blaze, and Torrent as usual. Zoroark has Illusion, which is like a built in Transform.

So long as there's 15 people, and the rules weren't ******** then I see no problem with it. If you have a tournament link or remember all of the general info (date, location, tournament name) that would be good. Don't forget to include how much you won.

Meh, the problem with $1 mms is that they don't count for rankings. I only did it for low tier experience, though...... it was against a Lucas (who's probably gonna be PA ranked this season).

It was fun tho.... Lucas doesn't feel quite as bad as I expected, although neither of us knew the MU that well.

light type seems too predictable - we need unique ones: dairy type - milk, cream, cakes, pastries you name it - effective against normals for making them fat and ineffective against ghosts because they don't eat.

I'm thinking a digital type - like a Facebook Pokemon - FesBok would be it's name. It would rival porygon and its epileptic flashes of death on TV, I think this type would be effective against machines and terrible against water, fire, ice and every hazard that ruined my tamagotchi back in the day.

hmmm... a musical type? - musical instruments that come alive, trumpeeti and pibliano would be the benchmarks - they'd bash others to death with their keys and buttons but they would be weak to jigglypuff's singing.
