What are some ways for Charizard to set up for a finisher?

The section on combos is generally what you're after. Most of them set with a Dair, Dsmash, Bthrow, Jab, Usmash, or Utilt. Pretty much any of his launchers (made better if you hit them out of their double jump), but especially Dair or Dsmash since they have such large hitstun.

don't forget spaced dtilt, particularly to cover multiple options during a tech-chase. If you get the sour spot you get a free uair/upsmash/whatever depending on percent and fastfall/weight, and if you get the sweetspot, it launches at a very low angle that sets up perfect edgeguards if not killing outright.
EDIT: By the way HATZ, all the top players in my region are teaching and pushing me to get really good so they can get Zard matchup practice... for the purpose of crushing you.
