I hate him because he is an obscure SIDE character from an old, forgotten Nintendo game. He was so random. It's like one day a person was bored and said "How bout Sukapon for brawl?". Everybody blatantly jumped on the bandwagon because they were afraid of being left out, eventhough they knew it was a stupid idea.

A. I dont dislike geno personaly, I just didnt like how his fanbase came out of nowhere here, it seems a little too sudden if you ask me.

1.geno is a main character but not THE main character. the game is named super MARIO RPG. not super GENO RPG. also on the cover mario is in the center, and mario is also the one character you have to use, geno can be switched out of battle.(and no I dont care if a whole buch of people used him in their team.) so dont go saying geno played the biggest part, as he acted more like the voice of mario and the team.(you see this happen often in nintendo games since they have so many silent protagonists) he did play a big part story line wise, just dont go saying he was the Main character.

Mario is the main character, simply because he HAS to be. You really don't think Nintendo would publish a game with Mario as a side character, do you? He has NEVER been a side character and chances are, never will be. Mario finished his ambitions less than halfway through the RPG, rescuing Peach, however the rest of the party had goals at hand.

2. just because geno was a big player in SMRPG doenst mean he was the one who set the standard and path for the paper mario series. it just seems like alot of people are trying to say that. and yes SMRPG was the one that started the series, but people still seem to blow it out of proportion.

Not really blowing it out of proportion, because when you get down to it, it IS the basis of every Mario RPG today. From timed hits, to timed damage reduction blocking, to the occasional humor, to small cameos of other characters from different titles; it all started on this game on the SNES. Paper Mario was to be SMRPG2, more on that later.

3. I keep seeing people bring up the reapareing of the star road thing, if geno is so important to the stars and the series, then why didnt he apear in paper mario or Super paper mario? yet he was able to apear in a cameo in that one mario game(I forgot its name)

Paper Mario or Super Paper Mario - were meant to be SMRPG2. Square and Nintendo got into a big dispute because Square seemed to be leading towards Sony, so development for the game came to a stand still. They were on harsh terms for a couple years, and are only now bridging back the friendship they once had with the occasional SE DS game.

4. if you ask me, it seems the SMRPG set more or less the guidelines to the series were geno had a cameo and Mario brothers partners in time.

I honestly don't understand what's being said here, excuse me.

5.I think geno would make an excellent AT, as for PC....he wasnt as hugely important to the series as a few other canidates(for some reason people think he was one of the most important characters to mario in general) so if there is room for him I think he could work. but he just doesnt seem like he should outprioritize a few others.

Impossible. It would be foolish for Nintendo to just approach SE for an AT, not to mention it just virtually WILL not happen without them getting a PC first. Maybe this could be the road back to Geno's recovery; this would definently get him on track back to being wanted in Mario games even more than he is now. (Perfect opportunity for Square to get even more money, in addition to Nintendo) He definently could outprioritize some characters; he is a childhood memory for many smashers, and he was part of a very important game for the series, so I say, why not let him in.

He was a pretty big part of the game, so it's not necessarily wrong to connect him with the importance of the game.

Brawl could be the door for Geno to get back into the game world, hopefully. The cameo appearance could simply mean the character's not dead yet. You never know, that could be a sign.

Square-Enix would not be satisfied if they only got an AT as representation, therefore it's safe to assume it's adequate for Geno to be a playable character if he made an appearance.
