Not really. The reason Geno wasn't in a game in a long long time (excluding M&L: SS) was because he isn't allowed to be in any game except if it is a Mario game. He's more of a second party than a third.

Just 'cause Mario RPG is old and somewhat "forgotten" than why does everyone here mention it? More people probably know about it than y'all think.

The characters from the SMRPG have been a very tense topic to cover for both companies. SE and Nintendo are on the road to repair on their business relations, as we see the occasional Final Fantasy game. Geno's storyline is deep and he's a star warrior; I don't want him to be shooting hoops with Birdo and Yoshi; I find it very good that he hasn't been in such a spinoff. BTW, Brawl is being developed by HAL LABS, not solely Nintendo, which is why he still stands a fighting chance, reguardless of the business relations.

You know, I actually do like Geno and thought he would be a neat addition to Brawl, BEFORE it was even called Brawl! I had recently played SMRPG and liked Geno's cool sage-like attitude and when I heard of Super Smash Bros Revolution, I thought of him among others.

Then when people started making threads in different forums, I was one of those first to say he would be cool and a great addition and whatnot. Back then it was like supporting Dedede, no overly strong love or hate issues. Soon he became as popular and notorious as today...

So not everyone is a bandwagoner.

He's from an old Mario game that everyone's forgotten...so yeah...obviously that explains why TONS of people know/love him as a character...you're making this thread to start a flame war, if you don't like Geno, say it on the Geno thread, don't start a new one to fight on your home turf.
