That's because Yoshi is so hard to use. I'd say about 25 characters in the cast can be picked up and played on a somewhat advanced level in a day or two. Yoshi on the other hand takes a ton of practice to get all his DJC shenanigans down, proper egg use, good recovery, and all the other basics of a character. Yoshi is, without a doubt, the toughest character to use in B+ but also one of the most exciting to watch. It's really too bad he has that AWFUL voice.

would giving yoshi the shield jump (like in ssb64) be relatively easy to code in?
that'd definitely get the dino more out of shield options.
