Yep, it's double jump cancelling but with forward added to it.

nice i do a similar trick with djc'd up air... a fun surprise tactic for yoshi is to double jump backwards & neutral b forwards; covers the area you were at a moment ago.

I do something similar to turn sound and parry, or to get the 2nd jump noise out before starting a jump, this is smooth as hell though, nice!
