Prog is retiring...
Progducto recently sat down with OnGamers to talk about Smash Brothers, the community, and where he sees himself fitting into it all, and one thing is clear: prog does not plan to return to casting major tournaments for the foreseeable future. As someone who has played a large role in the revitalization of competitive Smash Brothers, it is tough to see a man of his caliber be forced to take a step back from the community, but progducto has made it clear that he hopes to be a part of the community in whatever capacity he can.
Prog shared some information Twitter this morning, and offered advice to those who look to follow in his footsteps:
First and foremost, its not colon cancer. Found out that everything was benign at the beginning of the month. What is it? Unsure.— my stunt double's stunt double (@progducto) June 24, 2014
Even after CEO and EVO, you won't see the last of me. When I was done as a player, I figured out something else to do. I can do that again.— my stunt double's stunt double (@progducto) June 24, 2014
You are unique. You are talented. You can do things to improve your scene, it's just a matter of finding out what.— my stunt double's stunt double (@progducto) June 24, 2014
That's what the Smash scene was built on. People stepping up out of desire to do great things.— my stunt double's stunt double (@progducto) June 24, 2014
