Smash Legend
Disclaimer: This has nothing to do with the BBR-RC as I am no longer part of that committee.
Hello all, this is a thread concerning, you guessed it, M2K and his consistent immature, unprofessional, hype-killing attitude. As you all know, M2K was given a Red Card by the BBR-RC. KTAR6 was originally a Unity event, but Keitaro wanted to let M2K enter. He banned Brinstar, so the ruleset was no longer Unity, and M2K was allowed to enter. KTAR6 was this weekend, and the stream was packed with hyped matches, especially towards the end. Although most were MK dittos, those MK dittos were of the highest proficiency. M2K was sent to loser's bracket by Junebug's Lucario. Somebody told Nairo and M2K they had to play, so they started. M2K won game 1. However, they were told that they didn't play yet, there was more bracket to be played by Nairo and M2K before that match would take place. They both met up, and they had to play Nairo in Loser's Quarterfinals (Loser gets 5th place). Nairo had a strong lead, and M2K was hit off-stage. He purposely falls to his death and pulls his controller out, ranting about how unfair it was that he had to redo the set and his win didn't count. He ends up forfeiting the set to Nairo.
This isn't the first time this has happened. Oh no. He had the infamous semi-forfeit to ADHD that BANNED HIM FROM MLG DALLAS! He forfeited to Anti in Winner's Semis of KTAR5, and then in Loser's Semis to ADHD (Or the other way around, but still). He also forfeited to...Gnes? at Pound V to "focus on melee" and then forfeited to HungryBox in melee...which is...odd, to say the least. He has also forfeited/split many other times, but I don't live anywhere he has lived so I have had the fortune of not having to deal with his shenanigans. I also have lost touch with the Melee Community so I don't know if he forfeits in that game as often either.
He also pretty much imposes himself on others without warning. He forces people to take him places, forces them to house him, and pretty much mooches off of them just because he is M2K. He has also had SEVERAL "instances" of severe disrespect, such as
and
. He shows severe disrespect for pretty much anybody that gives him respect. Even when there is irrefutable evidence, he never owns up to his mistakes. He either blames others or pretends it never happened.
It isn't like other sports don't have issues with unsportsmanlike conduct. However, they are multi-million dollar leagues, so we can't really fine M2K 20k like most other leagues can. If we really want to be viewed as a mature community, banning M2K from events would probably help. It isn't like other gaming communities haven't banned players either. I know that Dark Prince was banned from EVO because he is very immature and trashy, and also threatened people with violence. Normally there isn't enough of an issue with players to outright ban them, but M2K, time and time again, has proven that he doesn't deserve to be in this community any longer (In my opinion, obviously. I would vote yes).
Now, you have read all the information I have to offer (Sadly, I didn't research this topic very heavily). I like Jason as a person, but as a player he is a really REALLY bad representative in our community. He is probably the most famous player in all of Super Smash Brothers history, and he is one of the least qualified people as a player (But not the caliber of his play) to be so well recognized.
Also, please don't turn this into a flame-war...

looking up porn/hentai on other's computers and masturbating to it
