How sick. Mommy of the year alert? Yeah, prime candidate right here.
Seriously, WTF was this lady thinking? Apparently the son told the teacher who told the cops and.....well, the ***** is is jail now.

I hope the judge says "So, because you did this, we are going to have to smash YOU with a hammer".

What a great lesson to teach. 'If you do not succeed, you have to hit the things you love with a hammer until they are dead.'

that is SO ****** up man...

imagine how big a deal it would have been if it were a human?

Because you cant directly emotionally relate to a hamster its not as big of a deal. But its a life that was extinguished because some ******* ***** wanted to teach her little punk kid a lesson. Glad she was arrested, hope but dobut she will get what she deserves for this.

The damage done to the ****ing hamster is negligible, dude. That kid is going to be seriously deranged in a few years.

Okay, that's just f***ed up...

I'm told killing and torturing small animals is the first signs of a serial killer.

Frankly, this is why I think you should have to have a licence to be a parent.

Good god, when I got bad grades as a kid my parents just took away my PlayStation for a week. What the hell is wrong with some people?

Whatever happened to school being about actually learning instead of what grades you got?

I'm so ****ing thankful my parents cared about me actually being educated over just getting a 4.0.

Has anybody seen the Kids Next Door episode where one of the hamsters that powered the house died? I'd like to think that's the place that hamsters go to.

NOSTALGIC OVERLOAD!!!!!!!!!!11!

Weird, I've been having a lot of those lately.

Unfortently, this isn't the thread for talking about awesome cartoons that kids who grew up in the 00s would remember. This is the thread for talking about how screwed up this woman is for making her kid smash a hamster. God, that poor kid must have mental scars now....

Now that I think about it, wasn't there a Steven King book where this guy goes insane because of a series of events that started with him being forced to kill his pet rabbit when he was a kid?

... oh hell....

Comments from that thread:

"well the kid is 12 after all, and an idiot for being a snitch... now he has no mom. What's worse, killing a hamster or having no mom?"

Ah, Sherdog, how I love you and the wisdom of your posters.

No. It's a ****ing hamster. It didn't feel anything, it's dead. Sure, it was robbed of a couple years of a pointless existence in a cage, but you are seriously underestimating the impact this kind of child abuse has on a human's psyche.
I think you meant it as: It doesn't feel anything, it's dead.

Rodents have pain receptors, the same as you or me. But you could argue that dead is better than alive and deeply traumatized.

The reason this type of abuse renders such damage on the human psyche in the first place is because human beings can empathize with animals. At least, it seems that child did. So, the life of a hamster can't be viewed as insignificant in that sense, even if your own personal code values human well-being over the lives of animals.

I almost want to say that people don't love insignificant things because their love for something makes that thing significant--but then, that's way too philosophical for a Wednesday morning.

Man that's just is so f***** up, i ain't the hamster's fault, that he were unable to obtain good grades. It's her fault for being a ****face, he's only human, he can't get good grades all the time. She just made him kill his beloved hamster, that is not to be taken lightly. It will haunt him for the rest of his life. Who knows how he will be affected by it in the long turn?. Well hopefully he will have better life, now that his mum is out of the picture.

I imagine the hamster had no time to feel anything, pain receptors or not. The equivalent is to a human-sized boulder somehow being smashed down on a person with force. I mean, whatever pain the little thing felt was over in milliseconds.

But going beyond just this incident. This lady is very obviously deranged and there must be a history of similar abuse for most of the kid's life. I don't know the child and am just assuming, but I think he's been through a lot more than just this incident.

HAH!!!! That was hilarious. I remember watching that show as a kid non stop XD.

**** this ***** is messed up. Stupid butthole. Who the hell forces their kid to kill their childhood pet with a hammer? Now thats messed up. Im happy that that kid told his teacher of that, because if that was me hell, Id have told child services right away. You know how emotionally scarring that is?

Hmm well maybe the kid would be taken away by child services, but jail time for her is highly unlikely.

Also i cant quote people for some reason.
