the wings of icarus would be an awesome new item but would look ridiculous on some characters so would they put them as an item

thats kinda cheap especially towards pit cause then everyone wwould have their pros plus his. its not like the samus ball in melee because samus could use that too and it had a different jump than hers, but for this if Pit got it would give him the same up-b hight,

there isn't an item called "wings of icarus" in the original game.

I think you have mistaken it with ether the" Pegasus Wings" or the "Angel Feather".

The Pegasus Wings, The last of the three Sacred Treasures in Kid Icarus which allow Pit to fly in the final level.

The Angel Feather, If you fall off the bottom of the screen, and have a feather in your inventory, it will allow Pit to fly back up. You must guide Pit to safety before its effects wear off.

I think if sakurai wanted to take advantage of the glide ability completely, they should add some kind of wing item similar to pit's wings that would allow the player to glide/fly for a short period of time
