Honestly, I doubt it. I don't think it would be possible for the WW style to be able to recreate the Twilight areas nearly as effectively as TP had them. That eerieness just doesn't jive with the simple, colorful style of WW. Similarly, WW would lose all of its charm if done in TP graphics.
But unlike WW, TP's world was incredibly limited in exploration (despite its large size) due to the obnoxious zoning. WW was and still is the most openly explorably Zelda game to date, which makes up for its lack of dungeons.

I didn't forget. I just feel like WW's style of eerie is inadequate for what TP demands. I also don't think of the Earth Temple as all that eerie, relatively speaking. Also, the freaky cut scene with the dark Links and upside-down Ilias. WW could never make that work.
I enjoyed Twilight Princess much over Wind Waker, mostly due to me enjoying the art style, and story. Wind Waker and Zelda II remain the only Zeldas I haven't enjoyed.
I liked Twilight Princess better. It had some challenge, unlike The Wind Waker. (I was KO'd 24 times in my first run through Twilight, and 4 times in Waker). Also, I wasn't among those people who liked the sailing in Waker.
The sailing and travel was pretty horrid in Wind Waker when compared to the highspeed (spin attack!) horseback riding of Twilight Princes.
Twilight princess also had more exciting battles, but Wind Waker had the whole art style and music going for it.
I'd actually have to put Twilight Princess on par with OoT, but that's just me.
I gotta say i like Twilight Princess a little more.
Wind Waker was my very first Zelda game, and i loved it, but i just like the story, the dungeon designs, and art more.
The characters in TP were pretty one-dimensional (Midna and Zant aside, especially Zant) and bland. I actually cared about the characters in WW. Even Link had a bit of a personality.
I liked Wind Waker's art style, but I didn't really like the circular heads... for some reason, lol. If they could combine that art style with the same headshape OoT/MM/TP then it would be perfect, lol.
@Ochobobo: I thought I had seen epic. I thought seeing a man sing pro karaoke and do some Rick Astley was epic. I thought I understood what epic was. But I did not. Your picture that you have posted is epic. But epic does not describe it, it IS it. That picture is the digital embodiment of epic. May you live a long and fruitful life, for you have proven yourself worthy with this post.
Wind Waker is definatly the superior game. Twilight Princess was good, but Wind Waker had wonderful graphics, a better soundtrack, it was funnier and had a much bigger world (even if most of it was just ocean). Wind Waker also had more extras. There were more minigames, lots of Heart Pieces, tons of figurines to collect, and you could play through the game again in your pajamas.
I think soundtrack is arguable, I'd say they're both good but fall short of LTTP, LA, OoT, and MM in that regard. Bigger world? To me WW simply has a larger amount of empty space, actual explorable area that requires any involvement? Not so much

I liked TP's mini games more, I didn't know WW had more of them, but TP was so fun, snowboarding should come back! I agree that WW is cool for new game +, more zelda games should do that, maybe with more extra features...
Twilight Princess is definetely the Superior game hands down.
Wind waker was shorter
Wind waker was easier
Short and easy, DO NOT make a good Zelda game. Seriously, you have to be really slow in the head to have thought Wind Waker was hard. All it was, was tedious and sometimes quite boring. They basically gave you one set path in each dungeon, I don't see how you can get lost even if you don't keep checking your map.
Twiligh Princess however was long as hell and the dungeons were almost as challenging as in Majora's Mask. It also had a more serious theme. That really impressed me, considering that MM was the hardest and darkest game in the series.
If you're playing zelda for music, quirky gimmicks or humorous jokes, then you're not a zelda fan. It's the presentation, and the challenge level that makes the game. Zelda games are supposed to test the limit of our problem solving abilities, and Wind Waker dungeons didn't do that at all. Based on that theory alone, Wind Waker is already one of the weakest games in the series.
The title was meant to attract newcomers, and also to satisfy old fans. But by doing so, they lowered the difficulty level down so that 8 year olds could comprehend everything they have to do, and complete the game in a couple of days or a week. I don't appreciate that. I did enjoy the cartoony style, and the humurous story. It's midly entertaining, but it's not a huge blockbuster Zelda game if you're looking for one. It wasn't deep, don't try and give the game more credit that is due.
It seems to me, that whoever has Wind Waker on the top of their zelda list, are the people who like it because of its ease compared to other zeldas. Lol, don't try to defend yourself, theres no counter-argument.
I give Twilight Princess an 8 out of 10. 1 point is being knocked off because they clumbsily ported it to the Wii at the last second (It is first and foremost a Gamecube game) and another because it has low replay value. You really don't want to play it again after the first or second play-through.
Wind Waker, I give a 6 out of 10. The game wasn't difficult at all. It does has more replay value than TP, but only because of the friendly music and attractive cartoony style that gets a player into a less serious mood, and into a casual exploring mood. But besides that, it doesn't even seem as if they tried to make it challenging at all. The great sea wasn't put there for the purpose you might think. It was to add a huge amount of traveling distance to create the illusion that the game was actually long. In reality, Wind Waker is about the length of Ocarina, if not shorter. The game actually feels like it belongs on the Wii. I wouldn't be suprised if they re-released it, and I wouldn't protest that. This Zelda is not top 5 material though.
While I'm at it, you can see my other, un-biased scores.
Ocarina of Time- 9/10
Majora's Mask - 10/10
Link to the Past- 9/10
Phantom Hourglass- 5/10
Four Swords - 7/10
Four Swords Adventures - 6/10
Cdi (Lool) - 2/10
Legend Zelda- 7/10
Adventure of Link- 5/10
Minish Cap- 7/10
Mystical Seed of Courage - 9/10
Link's Awakening - 9/10
Uh, you actually thought the TP dungeons were hard? The sky temple was the only remotely challenging one at all and the bosses were simple laughable. TP was also very short and super easy...

I didn't say they were hard, I just said that the challenge level was almost at the level of Majora's Mask. And as for it being super short and easy - it was the longest game in the series. I guess the entire zelda series is completely comprised of super short and easy games .
TP is definitely not a short game. Eve if it is easy, it is quite lengthy, especially if you do more than the bare minimum. Also, the MM dungeons are definitely harder, from what I remember, than the TP ones. Of course, I was younger, so yeah.
I think the reason so many people favour WW over TP comes back to the reason why everyone loves OoT so much. There's a certain inexplicable charm to the game. I can't explain it but you feel it when you're playing almost subconsciously and that's what you remember. Personally I don't think TP had anywhere near as good characters as WW which is probably what did it for me.
For me WW completely loses against the TP graphic.
But the WW Swordfight with ganondorf was more challenging then the on in TP...
TP has the more genious music for me.
TP has a dark world, WW has the sea...
TP has the double clawshot and the ball and chain ( i love them^^)
WW has an impressive Ganondorf...
TP has the gerudo desert and snow and ice
WW has a volcano
Well, but all in all i would say i like TP more then WW. It is darker and i love darkness.
But WW is also a really good game =)
You have to give Phillips SOME credit. At least you can see that they tried to make it a decend albeit non-canon Legend of Zelda game (likewise with Wand of Gamelon). It isn't their fault that they failed at it.

Just because they may have tried their very hardest to not have their game suck doesn't make it suck any less. Faulty controls aren't an excuse. They're just another reason that Phillips failed.
