Why is the Switch designed to coerce people into having the Switch not powered off?

When the power button is normally pressed it goes into suspend. When the power button is held for 3 seconds it gives a menu that defaults to suspend, basically suggesting that one waited 3 seconds so that he could have the Switch go into suspend instead of suspend. The option to power off is hidden in a submenu. Because clearly powering off is a niche function of the power button that few people would want to use so let's force people to wait for it for 3 seconds and then dig into a submenu afterwards. It even puts the power button logo next to the option that puts the Switch in suspend seemingly to really drive home the point that you should put the Switch on suspend instead of powering it off.

And then when the Switch is connected to the electrical network in order for it to charge after it being painstakingly powered it off, it powers on automatically forcing the user to go through the whole process of powering off the Switch again or —as I suspect Nintendo wants— just give in and place the Switch in suspend using a swift press on the power button.
