Why is Gannon's Forward smash so strong?

It's horribly slow, has no armor, and its animation is lame to look at.

His old Smashes were better in almost every way. They should have just armored his old smashes instead of ruining his moveset and animations like they did to Bowser.

The smashes are pretty easy to dodge, unless you're standing still and trying to knock them off balance. Or getting too close when it's happening, which I've done quite a few times.

It also has so much shield pushback that some characters can’t even punish it. Ike wishes he had Ganondorf’s smash attacks.

If you constantly run into it that's your fault. The move is so slow and doesn't break full shield. It's only a read/shieldbreak option. Doesn't cover enough ground behind him to be that safe. Upsmash is better.

The only thing that bothers me is, that thing's bigger, faster, stronger, and safer than Ike's Fsmash, with no tip sourspot to boot. Who thought this was okay? Please give Ike an actually usable forward smash for the first time in eleven years.
