why does everyone want ridley?

He's badass, awesome, etc.

a character like him, imo, could never fit into braw

A Nintendo character in Super Smash Bros.?! PREPOSTEROUS!

but everywhere around the forums there are people rooting for his inclusion.

with the new metroid stage announced im becoming increasingly worried that ridley will in fact be included as a playable character, and imo it would be by far the worst character decision Sakurai has ever made.

Worst? Did you by any chance think Waluigi should be playable? Ridley has potential to be rather unique as a Smash character. People obviously want him in Brawl. He clearly deserves a playable character slot. How would he be the worst? Explain. (IMO, leaving him out of Melee [along with Diddy Kong and King Dedede] was one of the worst decisions made)

After this thread, I guess I see why Ridley threads aren't allowed. Anytime someone badmouths him, they're instantly attacked... But can you really blame us? He's the most likely character for Brawl now that King Dedede has been confirmed. The arguments given against his inclusion are always ridiculous. After so long, it becomes rather ...infuriating.

The point is that ignorant people like you and the thread starter need to do your research before you go writing off a great character like Ridley. Nobody gives half a s**** about your opinion at this point because everyone else already realizes that Ridley has four votes on the poll, which is more than any unconfirmed newcomer (tied with Geno) there is. All that is keeping Ridley's confirmation from being 100% is that he hasn't been announced yet. So get used to it.

Before I say anything else, Ridley is amazing, I want him in Brawl.

But, I can see this guy's point. The Metroid series has always been about Isolation, Samus rarely sees another human being on any of her adventures. If there was one series that is best suited to have only one character, It's Metroid. But that's a stupid agrument considering how ridley has become the most anticipated confirmation.

And I like Waluigi! Don'y you dare mention him and Birdo in the same sentence! He's only a filler character, but there's nothing wrong with him, he's hilarious! Between Super Mario World and Luigi's mansion, Luigi was only in sports titles too. Waluigi ought to get his own game, or at least appear in amain Mario game, but there's nothing wrong with wanting a funny and likable character in Brawl! There is no reason to hate so much on a fictional character, especially after he has been deconfirmed. The same goes for Tingle, who is "gay" intentionally. He isn't a **** up or an abomination, he's comic relief! GOOD GOD PEOPLE!
