I dont know though, it doesnt stop people from smashing the down button. Its like watching 10 year olds do the fortnite dance instead of doing a taunt.

We have to pay for emotes taunts now. Better start saving up for "show me your moves"

That's taking the term too literally. Taunt parties were just people standing and moving around doing absolutely nothing. The taunts were hardly used. It's an outdated Brawl term that somehow manifested itself onto Smash 4.

They can still do these "parties" without fail despite the removal of public online taunts.

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong but it is only disabled in online quickplay. I use the battle arena a ton and you can use taunts there no problem.

It is a shame but you can always map other buttons to your d-pad as it becomes useless online otherwise. Maybe try mapping shield to up or something to have a perfect shield/parry button. This is something I'll probably try, but I'll still miss taunting...

Folks are so sensitive these days when it comes to taunting.

I personally don’t taunt myself unless it’s for greeting others before a match, so I’m not bothered with this.
