Something that has been bothering me since the Miis were announced for Smash 4 was the series symbol. Why is it the Smash Ball? Why are they considered Smash originals? The Miis were not created for Smash Bros. The Miis didn't originate in Smash Bros. They debuted on the Mii Channel in 2006. That's eight years before they became fighters in Smash! Brawl was even released in the time between the Mii's first appearance ever and their debut in Smash 4. All Brawl had of the Miis were Friend Roster icons. And the Miis have been appearing in a lot of games outside of Smash like Wii Sports, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Mario Kart, Find Mii, etc. They are not Smash originals like Master Hand, Tabuu, Galeem, or the Primids. They originated outside of Smash. In fact, you create them from a Mii saved to the console which has nothing to do with Smash data. And now in Ultimate, they still have that Smash Ball symbol. How are they Smash property if they were created long before appearing in Smash? And they don't even have as much as an impact on Smash Bros as Mario, Link, Kirby, DK, Pikachu, Captain Falcon, Marth, etc. And Mii Brawler, Swordsman and Gunner could be similar to other Mii appearances, like your Mii had a sword for a minigame in Wii Sports Resort and the boxing minigame can almost be like the Mii Brawler. And the reason Sakurai didn't put them in Brawl was because it didn't feel right for them to be punching or kicking. So with the Miis totally unrelated to Smash, why do they have the Smash symbol as their series icon and a victory theme based on a remix of Smash 4's theme? Why can't they just have their own symbol representing the Mii series? Wuhu Island, Find Mii and Miiverse each have their own symbols and they are based on games focusing on Miis.
