People also said they were glad that the 255 line limit was there because they didn't want to change too much.
I remember those days. Couldn't even have things like a custom CSS because of the line limit.

Also remember when people first started hitting 255 lines, and I was like "wtf, how'd you manage that?"

And yes, Brawl hacking has jumped leagues beyond what it was just about a year ago. Y'know, with texture hacking, music replacing, PSA, etc.

Yes you are. That was then and this is now.
yes this is true, but THEN I told them not to say never. it would have been one thing if they were nice and said something like " we dont know how to do this yet, and we may not for a while, so stop asking untill developments occur." but they were all, "the game doesnt work this way, the only way is ISO hacking, cant do it, break the game, gtfo, blah blah blah.

Er, looks like I missed something... We can use more than 255/256 lines now? I've looked all around on how to do this but I haven't found anything on it... (No wonder people can use so many codes at once -_-)

Where would I find how to do this?

How childish. Karma? I don't think anyone who thought it was impossible is bitter about having been proven wrong. Everyone who has an interest in Brawl hacking in general benefits from it.

They didn't have to be nice. You and other people who kept asking were just annoying as hell. You deserved the GTFO treatment back then and no one owes you an apology. Just be thankful some people here have actually been working their ***** off to give you what you wanted despite you being a constant pain in the ***. Do you even remember what the boards looked like at the time? A **** mess of people asking the same question over and over.

Now if you can't understand that things are done when they're done and that it's better to give people the short version so that they shut up about it I don't know what to tell you.

Yeah, I knew we were capable of writing more than 256 lines now... but I just surpassed that today and found that I cannot. So how do I do it?

By placing a text file gameconfig.txt in the root of the SD card with certain contents, and running a new enough version of geckoOS.

I don't have this gameconfig.txt, I have the latest Gecko OS, and codemanager won't let me export to GCT if it has more that 256 lines. Is there a newer version of codemanager?

As I said, the version I am using won't allow me to surpass 256 lines. Could someone post a link to this gameconfig.txt and a version of codemanager that will allow more than 256 lines?

Yes this would help a lot if someone could post that, I've looked on all different websites and haven't come up with anything... Are we the only people who can't do this? XD

or use the cheatmanager on homebrew.

BTW the computer one you want to use is codemanager 1.2. it'll still give you a warning, but it will let you continue.

Thanks, I searched for that version and it worked fine... The only problem now is, I have the newest version of Gecko OS (At least as of yesterday), and when I load the disk, it says "codes not found"... Since I wasn't sure what folder it reads, I copied the codes to 3 folders:
Code:
MS:\codes\RSBE01.gct
MS:\gecko\codes\RSBE01.gct
MS:\data\gecko\codes\RSBE01.gct
But it still won't read the codes for some reason... (I have the US version of Brawl and it worked with the older version)

EDIT: Never mind, I tried it with the old Gecko OS and it worked fine.
