Will you read the spoilers? Or wait 2 weeks? Gonna play a japanese import? Read the dojo?

I'll (most likely) stop going on Smashboards till the strategy guide release. or untill Sakurai reveals EVEREYTHING. heck. If he revealed the end of SSE, I might not even watch it.
I'll still go on DOJO!! though.

I think that spoilers will come earlier than the 24th.
Hong Kong always gets game earlier, so we'll get the first infos from the Chineses.

I won't get a Japan import, I'll just get as much information on it as I possibly can, I'm not afraid of too many spoilers, the more I know about the game, the better, I can't know too much.

I'm not buying a Japanese Wii and import when Brawl in USA is only 2 weeks away. That is just pure impatient.

I'm just not going to visit any gaming websites. I mean I can stay away off the computer for 2 weeks. Not addicted.

The only spoilers I can see coming from the SE are which characters are in it which bosses and what the pairings are. Maybe some undescriptive level descriptions like: "Then there is this cool lava cave."

You know, When it comes to spoilers, you can't always control it.

You never know when some troll makes a seemingly innocent topic title, and soon as you enter, you are confronted with a bunch of pictures of SSE ending.

But, It's already too late. You just spoiled yourself of the entire SSE adventure mode, and you can't unsee it. Saying " I'll just get the characters only, and still visit SWF" isn't secure enough.

Really though Tobi- what is there to spoil? The Ancient Minister will be defeated and the good guys will celebrate and it will all have been a game that "the child" was playing. Or something quite similar to that.

You can't live in fear of spoilers if you want knowledge. Knowledge is power.

I don't want knowledge of it though. I want to discovery it myself.

Also, You don't have any idea of what will happen. You don't know if there is a dark ending, or a good ending. You are making too many assumptions on what you happen based off previous games.

Knowledge is power doesn't apply to your statement at all. Knowing what will happen 2 weeks before the games release will only satisfy you temporarily.

If you were really anxious for getting a new Harry Potter book, and some idiot yells and spoils the entire book right in front of you, would that be good? After all, you shouldn't live in fear of spoilers according to your statement.

Opinion or not, I like doing, seeing, and discovering things for myself.

I guess I can understand your situation, Tobi-, but only for the SSE. I personally don't let spoilers bother me because gameplay is the premium selling point. Really, I can't understand why people WOULDN'T want to know which characters were in Brawl as soon as possible.

What benefit do you get from witholding the information from yourself till you experience it in-game? Is that "wow" factor really worth it when tons of people already know that already? Is the experience cheapened so much by being given proof of things outside the actual game?

I mean, I knew Mewtwo was going to be in Melee before it hit American shores, and it didn't lessen my enjoyment of the game. Unlocking characters and going through the story will be a SMALL part of Brawls overall experience. And we've waited this long for more character confirmations....

Me, I'm probably going to stay off the internet until Feb. 10th. Heck, I might even stay off the internet past then. I love the feeling of suddenly the warning siren flashing and the big surprise of the mistirious silloughette of Geno or someone. But it might as well be pointless, because my brother and all my friends are all going on the internet to find out everything they can, and it's all going to be spoiled anyways in the end.

EDIT: Unless I suddenly got traped in some time portal while I was sleeping, I'm pretty sure 1/24/07 happened almost a year ago. Do you mean 1/24/08, or am I trapped in some sick and twisted paralell universe?

9:00AM January 23 for me, Japan is 15 hours ahead of CST. I'll be here in brawl general discussion frantically mashing f5. My schedule is open from 9 to 11 on the 23rd, then I have Chemistry. There is usually a good WiFi signal in the Chemistry lecture hall, so I will probable bring my laptop and keep checking in to see the characters.
