Hey yall just curious as to what this thing sheik can do is called. I can't do it 100% of the time so I'm also wondering if its a tech that is worth the time to learn. It seems like it might be barely faster to grab the ledge this way than changing your direction with needles then grabbing ledge, but I don't think the "risk/reward" factor is in its favor.

I just uploaded a video of me doing it because I couldn't find any sheik players doing it in a match to link to (You can see I can't do it to well based on that first attempt haha)

Thanks!

I see m2k do this a lot in tournies actually... Can't remember what it's called, but I think it's just kinda flashy...

Not sure if it has a name and if so I don't know, its good for quickly grabbing edge but its more or less just to style since there are other faster option to grabbing the ledge before your opponent.

While it may be slower than other methods, it does give you invincibility before you grab it as well as throws out two hitboxes. It's also just easier to do in some cases to me. Idk, I also use it alot.
The timing isn't very strict so i'd say you should learn how to do it, but you don't really need to put alot of dedicated practice into learning it. Based on the attempts in the video it seems you actually even already know the timing and just messed up by jumping before UpBing once - something that should go away as you get better at the game as a whole and not just this particular technique.
