What is a tier?

Well... let me give an example.

Say you were jsut talking about an elementary school, and there was kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade. Each grade would be a different tier so to speak.

But anyways, in the smash world, a tier is sort of like a ranking of how good the character is in relation to the others. So if a character is bottom tier, then they suck. If a character is top tier, then they are one of the best.

The tiers are based off of how the character plays and tournement results.

Tier is a list in which that should NOT be discussed for Brawl until Feb 10th. The Smash Bros Tier is also a list from worst to best depending on the natural attributes for the characters of Smash Bros. Attributes concerning Power, Speed, Recovery, Lag, and Evasion. There is currently no Tier for Super Smash Bros Brawl.

We shuld be able to have some fun and make predictions about the tier list fir Brawl. I am imagining Sonic and Peach in the top 3. Reason being is because Peach was 4 in Melee and seems buffed and Sonic is ghetto fast.
