Ya,what he said.I would have the same views as when I heard about SSB64... which was..
"HOLY CRAP!! A FIGHTING GAME WITH NINTENDO CHARACTERS!!??! THATS FUXING AWESOME!!!!"
Well it's not, so quit- wait, you're trying to cover up the fact that you don't know about the first two.
jk
That's exactly what my reaction was as a 9 year old, but without the expletives. Melee was released only 2 years after the original, so coming right off of Smash 64, I was extremely excited. Now, 7 years later, we're getting another one, and my excitement is unreal right now. It's probably not at the same level as the original, but it's even higher than what it was with Melee. If this was the first game, I don't think people would be picking it apart and speculating/complaining as much as they are, but they would be extremely excited instead. I wonder how successful the Gamecube would have been without Melee though, because it's the reason why I bought one.I would have the same views as when I heard about SSB64... which was..

...really, I think any true Nintendo fan would anticipate this game. they get to fight as there favorite Nintendo characters, which is a fantasy for most fans. of course we would be less excited then we are now, but thats because we don't know we're going to like it, or what to expect from the fighting system; but most fans would welcome it with open arms and legs...
