What if Nintendo characters had their own Pokémon team?

In relation to their own abilities, personality, and other specific things from the games they come from ?

For example :

's team would consist of :
- Probopass, with its face similar to Mario's.
- Emolga, with its wing-like things looking like Mario's cape.
- Parasect, litterally a giant mushroom on legs.

's team :
- Hitmonchan, for obvious reason.
- Hawlucha, for being the fastest fighting-type Pokémon to date (besides Mega-Mewtwo X), in reference to his great speed in Smash.
- Swampert, with its Mega-Evolution looking the same as Little Mac becoming Giga Mac.

's team :
- Xatu, being able to foresee the future like Shulk.
- Klinklang, reflecting Shulk's mechanical skills.
- Aegislash, in reference to the Monado being also a sword able to change its specificities.

[Sir Gengar de Èctoplasma]

- Dragonite: dragon (also, the April Fools hoax about Dragonite evolving into Yoshi)
- Kecleon: green lizard with long tongue
- Meganium: green dinosaur
- Exeggcute: eggs (or seeds that look like eggs)
- Lickilicky: long tongue
- Sceptile: green lizard


- Groudon: a spiky reptile associated with fire
- Torkoal: fire turtle
- Charizard: fire-breathing reptile
- Marowak: Dry Bowser
- Tyranitar: green, spiky reptile
- Haxorus: axe that was used to defeat Bowser in several Mario games


- Blastoise: arguably more fitting for Bowser, but Jr. is a turtle as well and Clown Car has a cannon, so...
- Excadrill: drills of Clown Car
- Smeargle: paintbrush
- Golurk: resembles a robot, Jr. has used robots in boss battles
- Magmortar: fire creature with a cannon
- Voltorb: Bob-ombs


- Weezing: Wario Waft
- Slaking: lazy and strong
- Whirlipede: somewhat resembles a wheel
- Skuntank: bad smell
- Meowth: money
- Swalot: whiskers/moustache

- Rapidash (He's gotta have something to ride into battle on. Fittingly, he was immune to Naga's fire)
- Ferrothorn (Solid defenses)
- Rhyperior (Battle-ready, and has the ability Reckless. Chrom himself is reckless in training, often breaking things)

Henry Fleming

- Kingdra (Sniper ability)
- Barbaracle (Sniper ability)
- Heatmor (see Camerupt)
- Torkoal (see Camerupt)
- Camerupt (Like the above, a Fire type with vents of some sort, which can let off steam)
- Volcanion (I don't care if it's Legendary, it's literally the Steam Pokemon, and fits with his water+fire theme)

 

[Kneutronic]

(technically an accessory, but whatever):
Magnezone- Conducts electricity and has magnets attached to it.
Metagross- The knowledge of a supercomputer compares to a robot's programmed intelligence that may exceed that of humans.
Genesect- Modified by Team Plasma to become a robotic assassin, much like how R.O.B. became more robotic-like in Smash Bros., an upgrade from being an accessory.

Empoleon- Both a reference to emperor penguins and itself being a penguin, which is Dedede's considered species.
Delibird- Again with it being a penguin, plus Dedede's robes remind me of Santa Claus.
Farfetch'd- Another avian, and like Dedede using his hammer, Farfetch'd always carries a stick to attack.
