What if Little Mac's Assist Trophy returns?

I know, Little Mac's already confirmed to be playable in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Because EVERYONE IS HERE! EVERYONE IS HERE! And over half the stages in Smash history have been confirmed to be returning so it looks like we could get all the stages. Maybe every item could come back too? And here's something even crazier: What if every Assist Trophy returns? Yes, I know. Being an Assist Trophy kills your chances of being in Smash. There are butthurt Waluigi fanboys everywhere on the internet crying about Waluigi not being playable in Smash because he was confirmed to be an Assist Trophy. And the idea that everyone who's ever been an Assist Trophy stays as an Assist Trophy could crush people's dreams of seeing Shadow the Hedgehog and Dillon as playable characters. Except, there's one character who's been an Assist Trophy before becoming a newcomer: Little Mac! Yes, Little Mac was an Assist Trophy in Brawl. If they bring back every Assist Trophy, that would mean Little Mac would be both a fighter and an Assist Trophy in the same game. And that would mean being an Assist Trophy wouldn't stop anyone's chances. All those Waluigi fanboys could breathe a sigh of relief that that he could still get in. The fourth Star Fox character I wanted, Krystal would be able to get in. All those support threads on characters who are Assist Trophies could keep on going! But then again, believing that literally everything is back in Ultimate would be assuming that it's a compilation port of all the Smash games whether than a new game. And with how the characters changed between the games, it can't really have everything because Charizard's Rock Smash move is gone, the Landmasters are gone, Wolf's completely redesigned, the Zelda characters are no longer based on Twilight Princess, transformations were removed except for the Pokémon Trainer, a lot of Final Smashes have been replaced. But then again, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga didn't have Dexter's Diner and the Cantina was completely redesigned. So Smash Ultimate could be almost like LSWCS in that kind of compilation. And the Little Mac Assist Trophy could get KO'ed because defeatable Assist Trophies are a thing and Punch-Out is about knocking out your opponents, not to mention the playable Little Mac has a KO meter. And the AT Mac would be smaller than the playable Mac. Would you want the Assist Trophy Little Mac to return? How would you react to seeing Little Mac confirmed as an Assist Trophy while knowing that he's still playable?

Nah. Having him as an AT AND a playable character really doesnt serve any purpose. . .and TBH his assist trophy look was ugly as sin.

A new Puunch-Out!! AT would be great. . .but just not Mac

Maybe not. But doing that could relief some stress on heartbroken fanboys who saw their favorite characters as an Assist Trophy. Though, maybe announcing Waluigi as a playable character while his Assist Trophy is still there could have the same effect except better.

I'm not even sure that's possible. Anyone who had their favorite character as an AT will prefer them being playable.

Wouldn't mind them reusing the base Little Mac AT, but reskinning him to some other Punch Out! character. Disco Kid would be a cool AT replacement.

I'd want King Hippo if they had a Punch Out AT.
