megaman - i'd cry - for SOME reason, he strikes me as a male version of samus (with the arm cannon and all)
Bomberman - i'd cry again - there are characters more deserving then him, imo. He is REALLY cool, but AT is what i would rather him be.
Ridley - i'd be amazed that he made it in and be EXTREMEL happy (if he is playable)

I disagree. The interview where the creator said "I havent yet gotten a call from Sakurai asking for Megaman" didnt take place too long ago.
A week or two ago, and be that were less than a month away from Brawl's release date in japan, thats not enough time to send in character models, create the character, ahere him to the modes, create trophies for him, integrate his story into SSE, etc. etc., so yeah, I think hes been pretty much deconfirmed.

How do we know Sakurai didn't do the designs first? And btw, this could be some elaborate mindgame...do you really think the creator would openly reveal Megaman's inclusion? I wouldn't be surprised if this is a lie...people do lie...

Thats possible, like the Sonic thing, however, would Sakurai be allowed to do designs without consulting Capcom?
I still doubt him being in Brawl, although I carry feelings of neither hate nor love of him. I look at the evidence and came to my own conclusion. Others will feel differently, but the truth is, none of us have any real idea until Jan. 24th.

Yeah, I think his chances have been hurt, but not killed...and I think Sakurai could do the designs, and on the offchance Capcom said no, he could take them out...idk if it's faster to do or not, but it would seem that way...

That means nothing. Sakurai didn't deconfirm him and neither did any of Sakurai's update. So no. There IS no official deconfirmation. It's not "clinging to false hope". It's common ****ing sense. If Mega Man isn't is Brawl, I won't be surprised (just more disappointing in Sakurai for making a stupid move). If Mega Man IS in Brawl, it's people like you who are gonna have their feet in their mouths...

Wow...too bad that made no sense at all considering where I am right now. Better luck next time, 4chan.
Even the whole "designing Mega Man before asking for permission" seems a little off. But like I said before, unless Sakurai himself in some way gave us unquestionable reason to believe Mega Man is not in, he is NOT by any means deconfirmed. This has nothing to do with wishful thinking...it's just common sense. If anything, Inafune INCREASED Mega Man's chances by open admitting that he would LIKE Mega Man in Brawl. People just want to jump to dumb conclusions just because they feel they can. I'm not saying Mega Man is in. I'm not saying he isn't in. I'm just saying that the podcast hasn't changed jack sh*t. And honestly, this forum would've have been much better off not having known about the podcast at all.
