Smash Journeyman
What do you think of each character gaining just 1 "costume" change and that change made them look like a completely different character? (Ex: Wolf for Fox, Pichu for Pikachu) What do you think of each character gaining just 1 costume change and that change made them look like a completely different character? That way, instead of getting 6 color swaps, we actually get 6 color swaps and 1 "costume" change. We've seen Wario now, so this is a revised version of what I originally wrote.
If you don't understand my question, I'll make it more simple: What if we get 1 costume swap that made the character look like someone else. This would get rid of the clone characters officially, while actually kind of keeping them. This would definitely fix the roster to make it look they have double the amount of characters but not entirely so.
*Most of you are totally confused huh?*
They could actually put 1 costume change in this game if they wanted to in order to test this out. For example, a "costume" change for Fox would actually be Wolf, or Pikachu being Pichu, Dr. Mario as a stand-in for Mario, Puppet Zelda (from Twilight Princess) or Princess Midna (or even Shiek) for Zelda, and Roy or Sothe for Marth/Ike (well this one will be extremely complicated).
They could have a little, some, or even no change movelist while their final smash doesn't have to change (but I highly recommend they should change them). In other words, for example, we could kind of select Puppet Zelda from the roster, but instead of gaining her own spot, she would be sharing Zelda's spot and Zelda's color swaps. Get it? She would be in Zelda's spot but would be selectable exactly like a color swap.
I know this question seems completely confusing but if you read this over a few times, you will understand what I'm talking about.
Anyway, this is just a thought. I'm sure this won't occur in Brawl since Brawl updated the characters graphics to look so more detailed. But it could happen in a possible sequel for Brawl. Or it might occur in Brawl (slim chances). They did make everything (that is everything that seems likely, not like Halo stages in Brawl) such as Sonic in Brawl and stage-maker mode.
Everyone can debate about this right here, right now. After all, the game hasn't come out yet.
*If you don't know what I'm really talking about, I'll try to make it clearer once I hear a few of your questions. Also, sorry for mentioning Zelda so often. She was my favorite character in Melee.
