Seriously, what about Koopa Troopa? Sure we have plenty (maybe too many) characters from the Mario franchise. But Koopa Troopa is a cool dude. And I think he would be a very good semi-clone to Squirtle. Of course Squirtle was cut from SSB4, but he should make a return. And Koopa Troopa would be a cool tag-along.

Generic enemies really don't have much of a chance of making the playable cut. The Koopa Troopa can only really hope to appear as a Smash Run and/or Adventure mode enemy.
