This board is for the posting and requesting of Melee codes. The most common format is Gecko codes, but DOL mods are also welcome.

There has recently been a lot of coding activity in the Melee Workshop, which is awesome! Because of this, the plan is to reorganize our efforts into a full-fledged board, where we can make individual threads for requests and codes. This will prevent our work from getting lost, and it will make discussion much more streamlined.

How to contribute codes

Public Google Drive folder
Feel free to use this folder to organize your codes. It also contains a data sheet with useful memory addresses and functions, which is freely editable. It is still largely incomplete relative to the amount of information we have in codes and notes, so I will do my best to add to it and organize it.

If you choose to use the Drive, please create a folder for yourself, then copy the Gecko code template into your folder, which you can use for your code documents. When you write a new code, create the Drive document first. Then, create a thread on this board and link to the Drive document. If you choose not to use Drive, please format your post on this board similarly to the Gecko code template shown in Drive.

To embed your Drive document, make sure you first publish the document in File > Publish, then use that link for the embed.

If you are filling a request, please create a new thread for the code anyway, rather than simply posting the code in the request thread. You can then reply to the request thread, linking to the newly-created code thread.

How to request codes

Please create a new thread with the Request prefix and describe what you have in mind. If someone fulfills your request, they will post the code in its own thread and link to it in your request thread.

Happy hacking!
