Wednesday Night Fights feat. Larry Lurr, VoiD, Tearbear, Zenyou, And More!

SoCal: the region that gave us 18% of the players in the top 64 of Genesis 3. The region that had more players in that top 64 than Florida, MD/VA, and Canada combined and more than Japan as well. While any SoCal event can end up stacked, sometimes the powerhouses break through the wall and all sign up at once, making for some incredible fights. The spectacles in store can range from a Samus player taking down top names to a future king attempting to take his throne. Weeklies there can quickly become a miniature major all in themselves, and this is just what happened to Wednesday Night Fights happening tonight.

First comes the top of the power rankings: Larry Lurr. The man who took 7th at Genesis 3 and can pull out characters from Fox to Donkey Kong and show their potential, commonly switching characters many times a match. Still, this giant just faced another titan of SoCal in VoiD. His Sheik managed to take down DJ Jack, Ito, Shaky, FOW, and Larry Lurr himself to get there. Who will come out on top tonight?

For either of them to get there, however, they'll have to fight through the massive range of talent also set to attend. Like Tearbear, who gained fame and notoriety by double eliminating Nietono at EVO 2015. Then there is Zenyou, whose Mario has wins under his belt against the likes of Seagull Joe, Fatality, Trela, and Kamicario.

Even more of the power ranked players and serious talent are also on the way, including Xzax, S2H, TLTC, Rich Brown, Angbad, and SM. Plus, the self-dubbed Future King of Smash, K9sbruce, is coming to compete and show why he believes he can one day rule the Smash world.

It all takes place tonight, so don't miss it! The event is set to start at 9:30 PST and will be shown on the 2GGaming stream. More information can be found on its Smashboards Event Post. Excited to see SoCal's finest do battle? Sound off in the comments below and tune in tonight; it will be an incredible show.

Could've attended, but got stuck at home doing my senior project.
Hopefully some of the big names who went tonight could go to the next WNF. :ohwell:
