Well... I think I saw once that someone imported a model from one character to another (not entirely sure), and I know it's possible to import animations.

So, theoretically, it should be possible to replace any character with any other one, right?

Then all you'd have to do is replace Zelda and Sheik with entirely different characters, and you'd be all set. Same with the Pokemon.

At least, I think this should work...

hmm... good thinking there, Fenix. maybe we could have our character turn into DK for no real reason... nah, that would be TOO stupid. :p

I said theoretically.

I have no idea how to model swap a character, I'll wait until I see it happen before I get excited. Also, without a proper sound importer, they'd still sound like Zelda/Sheik.

One of my old, pre-PSA character ideas was a triple swap - Will/Freedan/Shadow.

Don't know who they are? I'm not surprised...

I'd be cool if you can switch between your mains as if they were played with pokemon trainer.

Umm... by the names... I'm guessing... minor Earthbound characters?
Google 'Illusion of Gaia'.

Actually, it probably won't help - it was that overlooked.

It was a game made by Enix back in the SNES age, a vastly overlooked action-RPG with one of the strangest and most epic storylines ever, at least for its time, involving the Tower of Babel and an evolution-accelerating comet, the main character being a young boy named Will with telekinetic powers, the ability to enter 'Dark Spaces' which nobody else could see and communicate with Gaia, the Spirit of the Earth, and by doing so could transform into one of two alter-egos, a heavily armored, sword wielding knight called Freedan, and a shining being of pure energy ironically called Shadow.

As Will, he could perform a rapid-dash attack, slide along the ground, and spin like a tornado. As Freedan, he could fire a chargable energy blast from his sword, create a defensive barrier around himself, and cause an earthquake by stabbing the ground. As Shadow, he could melt into the ground, rapid-fire flaming-bird shaped projectiles, and fly (well, in cinema scenes at least). Three special moves per character in addition to a transformation ability, plus an appropriately different playing style for each (speed for Will, heavy defenses for Freedan, and immense attack capabilities for the presumably light-weight Shadow) would have made him/them a perfect Smash contender... if anyone had ever heard of him/them. Unfortunately, the game arose during the golden age of action-RPGs and as such, never ended up getting the attention it deserved.

Also, Will fights monsters with a flute. Beat that.

Actually, for the sounds, you would just need to repoint them to the original character, no need for a sound importer
