Us in university here don't get march break, so yah we'd miss this unless it were held on either weekend.
ffs.

Listen, it's not because you miss one week-end that you're going to die. Just listen more in class, and do your stuff the wednesday/thursday before hand so that you don't have to do too much on the friday/saturday/sunday. It's just one week-end, christ guys.

EDIT: Ok, here's my suggestions. In May I think, there's something called Queen memorial day or something? Like, 3rd monday of may or something. This is a day off. We could host this **** in may, have this tournament be on saturday, sunday. This is my suggestion.

Vote #1 - Queen day
Vote #2 - March break

I know Chet that's why I recommended it be on a weekend, because that wasn't guaranteed. We can make a weekend event.

The problem with it being a 2 day event on the weekend is we won't be getting back until late sunday night (we've got a 5 hour car ride), and we will most likely have 8:30 classes, which means waking up for 6:30.

If we do a 2 day tournement during the week-end, It will finish around 4pm on sunday cause 70-80 players will attempt this tournement so you will have time to come back at home before 10pm

If it's going to be on a weekend, wouldn't it be best to be Easter Weekend? I think Queen Day might be Victoria Day for people outside Quebec.

Hey guys,

I hearby, representing the entire "No-Coast" (NC, or alternatively, "Central Longitude of Canada In the Cold, Cold Praries, or CLoCItCCP) team in Winnipeg Manitoba, would be very happy if this were a summer event. I dunno about you guys, but spring break for us is "reading week", ie: Febuary. ie: University students, and graduates.

Summer tourny for the win- "We might just come!" shall be the advert tagline. We really need to face more professional players, you guys.

What you call Victoria day, we used to call it Fête de la Reine, but during the last Parti Québecois governement, it was renamed "Fête des Patriotes" (patriots day).

RexMaster, I didn't know there was something between alberta and ontario. =/ anyway... andy seems to be the one in charge of taking votes.

It seems like almost everyone can make it summer, I am thinking the very beginning of summer right now. For march break and such, there are some people that can't make it, and right now, more people = more fun AND more contribution toward the pot and whatnot.

So right now, it seems to me for summer, but I know there are alot of people who have not yet posted and some others that would rather want it March or May.

Q @ people for march and such: If it was summer (like very beginning), would it be that big of a deal? I am just looking from a personal and economical standpoint.

To come of the touno I need a lift
lol, Damax has a new challenger.

Hmm Lanowen, personally, I'm thinking not summer, because it's already hard for some of us to travel, and personally, I'd rather play in the States than in Canada. That being said, for some people, an american tournament is a huge investment, and it's 100% sure that we will witness 1 or 2 huge tournaments this summer south of the boder. This is why I think that "1" major tournament per season would be most appreciated.

That being said, my word is only a suggestion. I will comply if it's done in the summer. Anyway, I already sold my soul last summer...

I also have an Uruhara Kisuke hat, and win tournies with it. YES.

I think that is a good idea. Toronto, you're running out of time. If Toronto doesn't take the trans-canada, I suggest we fuse it with the major tournament that we are planning for next summer. Anyone got a complaint?

As I said earlier, the only venue we would remotely consider for something this big would be the church beside our houses, which is 100% perfect. Good price, they know me, good lots of space, etc. It's quite a good venue. The only problem, however, is that the renovations aren't to be completed till January 1st. I'll see what I can do, but I'm not sure what to do really. How about we establish a good time for it to be held, and I'll go check what's available in 07.
