Wavebird re-release/update?

Do you guys think there is any chance of the Wavebird being re-released or perhaps updated as a bluetooth version for the Wii? I've just recently gotten interested in playing Brawl when it comes out and purchased my Wii about two weeks ago, and last week I spent an entire day tracking down three used Wavebirds from Gamestops within ten miles from me (30+ stores called...ugh). I'm having bad luck getting the fourth and I don't feel like paying $40 for one from Craigslist, Amazon, or Ebay. Is there any chance at all that Nintendo might be holding off on announcing an update that a re-release might be coming to coincide with Brawl?

The fake OC, because I'm nothing like them.
Why are you named after a republic that died exactly sixteen years ago?

And on topic:
I don't like the way the wavebird fits in thew Wii, so I don't think they should do much more with it. It's fine as is, the only thing they could do is an automatic turn off after no use for a while; that's the only thing, I don't always remember to turn it off.

Hilariously enough, I chose it as my online handle when I was seven years old and first heard of the Soviet Union in Westwood's Command & Conquer: Red Alert. I had no idea what the Soviet Union was except for a side in an RTS game :p

What do you mean you don't like teh way it fits? You don't like the way the receivers poke out of the top, or what?

Yeah, they just seem too bulky.

wat does this have to do with brawl
Since your able to use a gamecube controller with smash bros,he just wants to know.

Your best bet though is E-Bay.Just find a bid that starts at like 99 cents or something and bid at the last minute.Thats what I plan on doing.

I don't even know. Mine was bought awhile ago.

I think it's actually opposite. Do they still sell wavebird controllers? I tried looking for one, but with no luck.

I have a pelican wireless Gamecube controller.

Is it worse then wavebird or something?
Could you or anyone else please compare the Pelican wireless and the wavebird? Is it just as good? I was scouring Amazon earlier and I saw a few Wavebird knock-offs (including one by intec), and they had all negative reviews.

Yes, this will be an update. And the next one will be:

Wavebird Batteries
I know I said this in a previous update, but I wanted to explain it more.
*screenshot of back of wavebird*
Look! An opening! What's inside?
*screenshot of batteries inside*
Thes are batteries. They give the wavebird power.
*screenshot of Sakurai on couch playing*
But wait, these are dead! So...
*shows screenshots of replacing batteries*
You replace them. I hate to say it, but we really did repeat the manuals!

I'm not so sure Nintendo would re-issue a Gamecube Controller for the Wii.

More than likely they'll just push the Classic Controller.
