As previously mentioned I heavily recommend against watching my WF match against NL too... I put on a much better show getting bopped in GF

Also I pulled out a lot of sweet moves in the set against Moxie, should check that out

Hey guys, I've got some matches from 4HYPE, a Midwest Regional where I took 2nd overall. Here's the twitch archive link.

My first Set was against a Luigi from my home state, I think I played it pretty well but any advice would be welcome. Set starts at 2:07:35

My second set was against the best Falcon in KS, and I'm also pretty happy with how I played this but again, any advice would be welcome (also the ending was hype). Set starts at 2:45:00

My GF set was against Strong Bad. I was pretty happy with myself managing to force him off Wario, but then Pit happened, and I'm not really sure what I needed to change. I'm thinking I should have been trying for more Ftilts and Bairs as opposed to Nair spacing, since I wasn't getting follow ups and essentially I was going to have to play footsies with him and just wasn't wanting to. This is definitely the MU that I'd like the most help on. Set starts at 3:02:20.

@ metroid1117 metroid1117 Should the front page be updated with new vids? Most of the vids there are pre-3.02 with people that don't really play zard anymore. I've been keeping an eye on most of the Zard VoDs lately, so if you need any help updating it lemme know! :D

The OP definitely should be updated, but I publicly stated a while ago (1.5 yrs ago?) that I wouldn't be updating the thread anymore. I invited people to take ownership of the thread and message a mod to give them rights to the OP, but no one really stepped up to the plate. If you would like to take charge of the thread, let me know and I'll try asking a mod or admin to make the switch.

With metroid1117 metroid1117 officially passing the reigns of this thread to yours truly, I've taken the opportunity to completely revamp the OP. There you will find playlists of highly active Zard players, which *should* be updated on a monthly basis at the latest. Additionally, BluntedMask BluntedMask now has his own playlist, although VoDs of him playing are pretty scarce. :p

Ever wanted to learn the Mario/Fox/Falcon matchup? The OP now contains individual sets sorted according to character, all of which are post patch 3.02. Anything pre-patch is still there at the bottom. Sorry Olimar players, we'll meet someday.

Havent seen your matches, but that mu is rough. Cant really juggle with ness since he has no hitstun and his dair trades favorably with your upsmash, jab, and other up moves. Use your superior dash speed to bait stuff, punish by putting him in the airs and only juggle with super well spaced sruff that he cant punish well like bair and nair. If youre gutsy to go for an uair midcombo, it keads into up b and kills super early, and a trade at that point is usually irrelevamt

I discovered today that if PK Fire is already burning your shield, you can UpB to at least burst Ness off you if he gets too close. Trade off is that you'll clank with the PK Fire at the same time and start getting hit by the flames immediately afterwards.

As far as the matchup in general, Ness is definitely on my Top 3 list for matchups you need to air camp like crazy.

We really should record matches at my local tournaments. I'm beginning to think my Charizard is getting truly good. If we ever do start recording, I'll come back here so that you can add me to the list and critique my game.

Of course it'll seem pretty pathetic compared to you people, we're not exactly the most advanced set of smashers....

haven't really been that pm active or on here at all, but seeing as i've lost all my presence in this thread, here are 2 of my more high-caliber matches (with me loosing), i'd be happy if you'd add them to the OP :D

I might start playing a bit more again soon, and i hope that'll give me a bit of a boost again. I feel like i haven't really been able to play at full strenght, there's a lot more mobility to tickle out of the dragon, i'll hopefully work on that a little bit these upcoming months....
All my other recorded matches are from smaller smashfests sadly

Also here's winners and loser's finals of a tourney I had a while ago. It was my first loss to Joker's Link in a while so I think I know what to do next time. As for Falco, my biggest mistake was not banning FD. We had a few friendlies and it was the only stage I couldn't win on. Other than that my nair out of shield was just getting stuffed by that dair all day, and I played like a super scrub when my back was to the ledge. =\ As always critique is welcome.
