Was the red eye comment hinting at K. Rool?

I'm pretty sure the "THE END" mention in the E3 trailer was also hinting at K.Rool, but everyone forgot that.

I was originally gonna say no he's just tired and then he tweeted that image that very closely resembles something out of Golden Sun. Sakurai might be having a bit of fun if this is his last rodeo. If he does something similar before the next direct/reveal then I will say very confidently that he was referring to K Rool

IIRC it translates more that his eyes were "strained". Still could have been a K. Rool tease, but I really don't think it was. Man has gone on record many times saying he's tired, and you can actually see his eyes are a little strained in certain parts of the Direct.

But I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up having been a hint, especially if that other tweet ends up being a Golden Sun tease. Or if the Direct backdrop is actually for Skull Kid.

He could likely be both. Workaholics (especially the creative ones) tend to have a love-hate relationship with prescription stimulants and caffeine.

As for the topic, I would've said he was hinting at KKR but I noticed that his eyes WERE quite red so I'm not sure...

New theory: he made his eyes red for the direct. Additionally, it was by rubbing a poisonous mushroom on his face.

This also confirms Skull Kid. Paper Mario. And the size-changing antics of Marvel's number one criminal, Ant-Man.

Nope. Sakurai was probably just trying to make sure nobody was concerned about him because his eyes were a little red.

I think people try way too hard to find hints/patterns in these directs.

Not for me. The trolling about it was obvious with the banana gun and Dedede's outfit , but I can't buy those 'hints'.

No it just means he's been working his butt off and is tired from making the game to our liking and appretiation. So we should really cut sakurai some slack since he's going all out of his way to make this game for us loyal fans of the series.
