Did anyone know that uncharged waft takes your opponent out of fall special without damaging them? Is that useful in any way?

Do different characters have different tripping animations? I know that Snake can infinite TL with d-throw because TL's roll and getup attack are so slow he always has enough frame advantage to chase him. I'm just curious about maybe something similar to the Buuman Trap that D3 uses.

Can someone please give me a walkthrough on how Wario should be played? Where I should be landing (spacing), what I should be aiming for and what I should be doing, etc... Please and thanks.

Play the style thats most comfortable for you. You shouldn't land within grab range.

I have also set my x button (I jump with y) as an attack button so i have three buttons to press to mash out without air release.

Which characters CANNOT air release no matter what like Kirby.

Characters that CAN grab release ALWAYS, off the top of my head. Snake, Peach, Sheik, D3 (needs to be a dash or pivot grab), Ike, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Ganondorf, C. Falcon, Marth, Zelda, Zero Suit, Yoshi.

Anyone else can't unless you mash out or some weird stage stuff is going on. I don't know why this list matters, b/c you can just see after they grab you if your feet are dangling off the ground or not.

Even better than not landing within grab range is landing just outside the range of their longest ranged move, b/c then they'll be inclined to use it :)

If they don't have a grab release you can land inside their grab range. No need to be so cautious when they don't get guaranteed ridiculous damage on you.

Question; Does anyone have any recommended setups for using Wario's Waft? That, or any unavoidable setups in general? I don't have much trouble pulling it off, but if there's anything more guaranteed than waiting, reading and punishing opponents with it, that would be great.

There are no setups short of footstool > waft (tight timing).

You don't even need to read the opponent though, just bait them to whiff something and then land it.

It's useful if you'll take the criticisms given by your peers and work on incorporating/improving upon what they recommend.

You need to put it on youtube or get someone to put it on youtube for you.

Put it in the Wario Video Thread and ask for a critique.

I have no idea what grimping is.

an example of baiting your oponent for a waft setup would be you fair, they airdodge, you waft.

baiting airdodges is oh so easy as wario and gets you free claps and wafts :)

Yeah it takes some timing but i actually use that. Its helpful in mindgaming falco to phatasm back onstage. You just press the stick back as soon as you drop of the ledge.

what is the best neutral you can hope for against falco? i usualy try to make the first match go to battlefield (i strike fd and yoshis and he strikes smashville and lylat) but somehow fd seems good cuz you can jump everywhere without platforms getting in the way. should i just learn battlefield or is fd viable? also any other tips on this matchup are apreciated :)

BF and Sville are ideal b/c they are smaller and have room to maneuver around platforms. On FD it's a lot easier for them to laser side b all game.

and how do you aproach if he camps below the platform? hes got his front covered by the lasers and you cant come from above.

Yeah Falco won't be a problem under a platform if you play it correctly (besides ones like Marth or MK or sometimes Snake lol)

Then after that, if you get a stock lead, you can run around with the platforms :D

For the wario cg on Falco, can you keep chain grabbing falco if the dthrow is stale 52% or can they get out?

you want the CG to be stale. It becoming stale is what allows it to work for so long.

I'll look into how much staleness affects it when you want to start however.
