"Wario Alone" Translations

Having read a bunch of threads regarding the Overalls update, people seem to keep citing the "Wario Alone" quotation. I'm here to give my translations of a few other languages, and hopefully someone will come in with the official Japanese translation.

Spanish- But Wario is a special case

French- But Wario is truly special

Italian (I dont know Italian, but having read it, I feel confident) -But Wario is special

Japanese (from Google) "Character is the color change. The only special WARIO later ...."

Hopefully someone with Japanese Translation experience will help clarify the true meaning of the site. If this has been posted already I apologize.

the Japanese says "Only Wario" or "Wario alone" or "Just Wario," etc.

Just to help you out with the Italian since you aren't totally what it says... it actually says;

"I already told you that it's possible to change colors on various characters, but Wario is special."

Similar to the French one.

Sakurai says it's only Wario.

So he's either mindgaming us, or it's only Wario.

Actually, I just read the japanese smash ball update. What it says is "After getting the smash ball, you can only use the final smash once. This is a precious item."

It's been shown to us that it's not a mistranslation.

Alternate costumes aren't happening. Get over it. I really wanted them as well, but the facts are in our faces. We should stop denying it and be happy that at least Wario got his classic look.

I think its safe to say we might have Dr. Mario Back.

No, it clearly says "Only Wario is special." It can also be translated as "Wario is the only special one."

I thought there might be a glimmer of hope, but it really doesn't seem like there is. "Wario Alone" is pretty definite, so I guess he's the only one who gets an alt.

Of course, if other characters DO get alts, that'd be great. But I won't expect it.

Normally, I'd lock this thread as Wario alone leaves no room to debate... but I'm frankly surprised at how many people refuse to believe this. I'll leave this thread open for a little longer while ya'll continue to debate it a bit.

maybe 'special' is referring to the fact that Wario's alternate costume also has its own color swaps, and any other characters' alt costumes just have their original color.

Maybe Wario's the only one with an alt costume already available, and you have to unlock the rest.

It can't be anymore clearer. Everyone's costumes can be changed by color. Wario ALONE is the only person capable of changing his costume in a way besides just being a color swap.

I really wanted true alternate costumes, really I did. For them to just make a somewhat clever recolor on Samus for the Fusion Suit, but actually GIVE Wario his classic costume instead of just another clever recolor. Ugh. Sickening.

However, we survived without alt costumes in Melee, so we will too in brawl. But Sakurai missed a big chance here.
