Ok, I thought that maybe after you beat SSE, that you could play it again, yet from the point of view from the villains. You would probably start off as Wario going to the arena, capturing one of the princesses. You could fight against bosses on the good guy side. It would be interesting to see the story from their side, see why they conquer other universes, and why the villains joined the subspace army. This might be asking to much from Sakurai's team though, it would be nice to see it happen.

Yeah, like in LotR, but better. I want to try one of those trophy guns!

Right behind you with a knife.
I don'tquite think this will happen. I mean Wario capturing the princess is just...not that much action really. Also there's no real need to get the villain's motivation through story. We're probably getting it through the trophies, as Sakurai mentioned. =/

You are probably right, but I would love to see it happen.

Or, maybe we could create our own adventure mode!?! With stage builder, and a few other features, it's possible, but very unlikely. :(

That is way too complicated of an idea.
How? You just make stages, place enemies, and wa-la (that is spelled wrong, don't hurt me). And dialogue could be typed out, and you could create videos (more likely snapshots) to go along. Just a thought: I know it won't happen, but it would make Brawl (maybe the smash after) last infinitely.

Europe; you do the math.
I just don't see anything like that happening. When playing as a villain, what kind of minor enemies would you face? And fighting the 'hero' characters would, story-wise at least, not work if you ask me. It'd basically be like playing Super Mario Bros., but from Bowser's perspective. You'd be waiting in the castle all the time.

Maybe if MAJOR changes to the storyline could be made, something like this would be feasible, but for now; Playing as the good guy and winning =/= PLaying as the bad guy and winning.

This is only my opinion mind you.

I dunno, there are a few good guys who would make interesting opponents whilst not being playable. For example in Pokemon there's the Elite 4, the top boss like good guys from the game. Then in Metroid there's the entire Galactic Federation. TP showed us that many of the Hyrule guards CAN fight (although most of them are cowards in the rest of the game.) and there could be Gorons, Zoras, Kokoris etc as basic enemies. Mario has Toads I guess, they're pretty weak though so they'd most probably be early enemies. Fire Emblem would be perfect with simply soldiers from Ike's side (I haven't played the game, but he's a lord, surely he gets some form of army...) Star Fox has the cornerian forces (BILL!!!111)Provided that they're creative and DON'T do like Sonic Adventure 2 Battle where Eggman fights his OWN robots to get in that pyramid part (I think) it could work. As to whether it will be in, doubtful but it's a cool idea.

As nice as that would be, I think he meant a SSE using Playable characters, meaning good guys have armies, not bad guys.

I agree with InvincibleAgent. Eventually you'll play as Wario and Bowser. I doubt Sakurai will exclude them in SSE as playable characters just because they're evil. I don't know about other perspective. Nintendo has had the bad guys team up with the good guys to fight a greater evil. Mario RPG+Super Paper Mario. Also there are points where you play from the bad guy perspective (Mario RPG: 1000yr Door)

It's definitely a nice idea but implementing something like that would mean two seperate story-based single player modes; One following the adventures of the good guys, the other following those of the bad guys.
What I'm trying to say is that it would take lots of effort to implement something like this, but the result won't be rewarding enough for all the effort put into the second single player story, for the developers at least.

Well if that rumour about the Subspace being 10 hours or whatever was true, this could be in. Besides, I think Sakurai said himself he wanted a better single player in Melee but couldn't. If that is true, he might have the enthusiasm to go through with it. It's an idea, very unlikely.

Good idea but Sakurai would probably just implement all characters into the SSE instead of making a hero and villian mode.

ya i've been wondering about that is there going to be a separate story you unlock when you beat it with the good guys are just going to be able to play as bad guys from the get go will the ending differ depending on whom you finish it as and etc... thats the main reason i cant wait to play the adventure mode i want to know what they've done with it.
