So Vader's Apprentice, AKA Starkiller, AKA Galen Marek is the main protagonist of the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. And you may be thinking: STAR WARS!? He's not a video game character. Actually, yes he is. His appearances in games were in the Force Unleashed games, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, and Soul Calibur IV. His appearances in other media? Just adaptations of video games. And if his connection to the Star Wars brand disqualifies him from getting a thread, then Sora's ties to Disney should close his thread. Because Starkiller is the same case with Sora. They both regularly meet movie characters. So what if Darth Vader is his master? Sora's got Donald Duck and Goofy as his traveling companions. So what if Kingdom Hearts has other original characters like Riku and Kairi and Organization XIII? The Force Unleashed has Juno Eclipse, Rahm Kota, Ozzik Sturn, Kento Marek, Maris Brood, PROXY, Kazdan Paratus, Darth Desolous, Kleef, Chop'aa Notimo, Darth Phobos and Drexl Roosh if they need any Assist Trophies, collectable trophies or stage cameos. And for a stage that's unique to The Force Unleashed, there is the Junk Temple. Starkiller's moveset can involve lightsaber swings and Force Powers. And if you say that he's not good for Smash because he has a lightsaber, Sora has Mickey's trademarked symbol hanging off his Keyblade.

Anyway, Starkiller's standard A moves are swings with his lightsaber. He can do a three hit combo or swing in the direction of the tilts. His Neutral B could be Force Lightning, where he zaps the other players with Lightning coming from his finger tips. His Up Special is Force Jump, where Galen takes a mighty leap to get back on the stage. His side special is Saber Throw, where he throws his laser sword like a boomerang. For his down special, he can use a Force Push, where he uses the Force to push the opponents away. His grab could be a force choke, levitating the nearest opponent he's facing. and his pummel could be choking harder. His forward throw can push the victim off the stage. His up throw launches the victim into a Star KO. His back throw can have him pull the victim toward himself to slice them. For his down throw, he slams them to the ground.

So, do you think this Apprentice has a chance for Smash?

This thread sounds entirely petty.

This thread reeks of pettiness, if Sora won't get in due to the Disney licensing, what makes you think a character from a franchise that originated with movies also owned by Disney (a non canon one at that), would have even have 1% of a chance of ever being in Smash. Besides, even if Sakurai did decide to add a Star Wars character, and got Disney's approval, it would not be Starkiller, it would either be Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker, due to more mainstream relevance, but neither are going to happen anyway

First Scorpion, then Master Chief, then Goku, then Shrek and now a Star Wars character? Lol is this for real? None of these characters has actual chances in getting into Smash.

May as well start clamoring for Kratos while you're at it.

Shouldn't it be based on if the franchise is of video game origin, not just the character? That really should be the rule here.

Kingdom Hearts is tricky. The franchise isn't really "Disney" it's Kingdom Hearts still, but it does contain several licensed properties within it. I don't think that's the same thing though, it's still a video game originating franchise, but... eh, it's the closest thing to a slippery slope to non-gaming franchises and characters though.

This thread is going to be locked(possibly for good).

Let's clear up some things about our support threads. We still have standards. First, the opening post must be up to par. This is not. This is just a few reasons they could be in, but does not provide any useful information of why someone should support the character.

Another is despite debuting in a game, it's clearly a Literature and Film Franchise. Now, the character was created for the games mainly, last I checked, so it's possible to entertain a thread(but seeing as the responses aren't even trying to give something useful, it's unlikely we will). That said, being as the thread doesn't want to make the character sound like someone actually being a fun and good addition to the roster, just a very technical "must appear in a game first" as a criteria, it's going to be treated as a troll suggestion.

In other words, we want people to create a support thread as a serious suggestion. Not to get around the rules due to a technicality. If somebody legitimately wants to play as them, that's cool. I'm sure Starkiller has real fans(I like him too!). But this thread lacks any reason to believe it's a serious suggestion at all.

Lastly, if the Opening Poster wants to edit this thread to make a legitimate and proper opening post(that means not making excuses of why he can be playable, but actually making him sound like a legitimately interesting addition to the cast), they can PM a Moderator and give us an ideal proper opening post, and if we deem it reasonable, we will unlock the thread and allow further discussion.

One last important thing to say; please do not respond to threads like this treating it like a troll thread. Just report it instead if it's clearly not made in good faith.
