Good news on that tourney Kenny. I really hope it all goes well and we can get it started as soon as we can.

I would say try and get the tourney scheduled for the beginning of August because I might be gone the weekend of the 25th, but what with Joke leaving and Minato coming, I'd say my reason for delaying it would be bad.

So I talked to the PnT guy. And everything was going great. Then I showed him the flier I made and he didn't really like the 50/30/10 pot layout. Somehow he assumed they were getting all the entry fee... (Which I don't get, cause I clearly said that they'd be getting the 10% house cut when I first talked to him >_>) His enthusiasm kind of keeled over right then. He said he guesses we can still do it once to see how it goes, but since saturday isn't the best day for him due to it being really busy, he wants to have it on a tuesday, august 4th...

Would people be able to come on a tuesday?

Depends. What time of day do you guys usually do stuff? (Friendlies, tournaments, etc.) I'm switching jobs and I have several options for my shift, and I'd like to pick one that won't leave me unable to attend anything.

It's sad to say, but when dealing with hosting tournaments at game stores, most of them would want all entry fees being returned to the winners as store credit, at the very least. Very, VERY rarely would you find an owner that would be willing to let you host there without anything in return at all.

But Tuesdays? That's ridiculous! Despite it being summer, I don't see many people coming on a Tuesday.

Honestly 10% cut isn't really enough, do the 10% AND a venue fee. Its a good thing.

He tells me they went to harmons to get some snacks and joke goes into his car, turns it on, leaves the keys in it, locks the doors and then leaves. LOL so he locked himself out of the car and left it on at the same time.

Meh, I don't care if its small, and everything will help. Now I'd just need people with Wii's (and Brawl) to come as well, and I'd need to bring some extra controllers. Most people will use the Wiimote or Wiichuck though, and I only have 2 Wiichucks, one nunchuck, and 3 extra GCN controllers.
So I'll ask BYU... sometime next week... if I can actually go through with this.
And I'm sure if I give a percentage of the entry fee as a "donation" to BYU, they won't mind. But we'll see.

Pfft...old cars. The safety feature on my car makes it pretty much impossible to accidentally lock you out if the key is in the ignition.

Whether it'll actually happen is questionable, because I'm requesting groundspace, plugs, and TVs, but even if it doesn't I can always ask around locally. I know there's somewhere out there that would be willing to host. As long as it isn't too time consuming for me; those health benefits from being lazy are NOT to be missed out on.
