Posts like these give me hope for the future. :bee:

I trying to be half-serious there. Yes, I do want to do Smash 4evar when I get back...

But that was mostly intended as a joke on my part.
It was intended to be ironic, because of I'm the least-attending member of the Utah Smash community, and its kind of ironic for me to say "I'm coming back to play" from something that far more dedicated players than myself have never returned from.

But again, it DID have a serious, hopeful part; I do want to continue to be a PART of the community, no matter how small and insignifigant that may be.

Also my brother gets back from his mission on July 27th, so I'm going to be attempting to bring him to a couple tournies. He's no where near my calibur, but hey, n00bs are easy wins and boost tourney attendance numbers, right? xD

waiting for mars to hurry up with that **** blunt
LOL. A mission is much more important to me than playing video games, as I'm sure is the case with everyone else leaving on a mission.

But I agree with getting together to play more. I might be able to have a smashfest on tuesday.. Who would be interested in coming to smash with the number one in state? ;)
ill come :D go balls out man

Yes, bring new players = always.

And I actually wasn't trying to say anything bad by that. Speaking as a smasher who has already been on a mission (and has a career and is married and is even a landlord), I am always hoping that people stay in the smash scene because I want the smash scene to survive and get better and better.

BTW you all are competitive gamers, maybe you guys might know-
what's the biggest competitive video game scene in Utah? Street Fighter? Halo? CounterStrike? Some other shooter?

It looks like I'm going to have a smashfest this Sat. Zack says he would be coming too. Not a tournament, though. Just come to hang out with cool people. Tell me if you are coming. Melees needed.

I don't really know of any ways to check up on any FPS scene... I'm not even sure if playing in-person is a big deal to most of them. I'm expecting the SRK community to become even more active with BB and KoF12 coming.

I live in Orem by Cascade Golf Course at the mouth of Provo Canyon. A lot of you know where I live already. If not, let me know and I'll send my address to you in a PM.

Edit: I totally agree with Dryu's comment. I look more towards helping them improve and encouraging them to come to other tourneys rather than just getting a little more money or an easy win.

Edit: Bring Wiis to the smashfest people. I have three TVs. And Ano (or whoever it was that had a wii but no brawl) I have an extra brawl copy, so if you could bring your wii that would be great too :D

Sad how I'm still here at Cali. Then again, I'm happy that I'm here so it kinda works out.
I'm going to get into BlazBlue, but I'm going for the PS3. Sorry FTS. I have no arcade stick for the 360, but we should do some SF IV sometime still.

That statement is so true, yet it bugs me extremely. When new people show up I don't care about the easy wins or money they are adding to the pot, All I hope for is that they come to future tournaments :dizzy:
I also agree. Coming in with that attitude saying that it'll be easy wins for others isn't the best thing. No wonder people don't like to stay in this community.

Oh, I knew exactly what you were trying to do...I just happened to find a loophole that allowed me to come out ahead. And what rules? You never originally stated anything about bribes not being allowed or anything like that.
I meant in the sense that you can't go to Vegas or a Horse Race and change the bets as you see fit, it has to be set up how the bet originally took place.

Or some s*** like that.

I could probably make it to this. I'll see me going 100% if two things happen.

One, I don't get so addicted to The Conduit that I can't set it down, and two, some of the other smashers go. I don't think I'd have any fun if everyone there whips my a** at Melee unless I had a ton of you guys to chill with...

That's why I'm always trying to be friendly with the new smashers, so I can convince some of them to stay.

Our Smash scene isn't dying. I always find new smashers at our tourney. It's just all the good players are leaving soon, and our tourney scene is dwindling. We just need to set up another tourney...and soon!

Then you should come!!! :p UT really should get a car together for Supercon, seriously. It's gonna be the biggest tourney the 4 corners has thrown thus far, so it's gonna be awesome =D
I don't know when this is... Post a link again? The chances are though that no one might be able to go from utah and I'll be spending a lot of my money already on Genesis... XD

The difference is that those places have pre-determined guidelines that prevent loopholes. But this is a stupid conversation...

Anyway, is Kenny's smashfest also this Saturday? Meaning that there's a Brawlfest and a Meleefest on the same day? Hm....

Meh, if only Metroid Prime Trilogy will be online...or remake Metroid Prime Hunters on the Wii (possibly with a longer 1-Player Mode) and have it be online. But that's not going to happen... :ohwell:

Edit: And yeah, Kenny, that was why I asked...

They should just make a new 1 player mode from scratch. I don't want an extended MPH since it was extended enough by fighting the same stupid bosses over and over.
Multiplayer, however, was pretty fun.

And I never knew PC liked the 3D Metroid games so much...

PC=Metroid
Lanky and Anonano=Zelda
Rade=Mother/Earthbound
Me=
THE GOOD
Fire Emblem games.

If Anonano asked his parents that, I'm afraid of what they'll do considering how over-protective they are...
I kid, I kid.

KENNY WHERE DO YOU LIIIIIIIIIVE

EDIT: This is funny, my mom invited me home for lunch and to help me with a PE class, so I actually AM having a POS moment right now xD

KENNY WHERE DO YOU LIIIIIIIIIVE

And Minato, my parents aren't overprotective, my Mom is OCD. My Dad just kind of runs his hands through what remains of his hair and shrugs, and then goes and does something else when I argue with my mom.

Yeah, don't worry Anonano. I didn't mean any of it.
It just seemed kinda funny since that was how people perceived it.

I gotta come back to Utah before everyone leaves.
Then I'll move back to Utah once everyone's done with their missions. Then it'll seem like no one ever left.

Anyways, are the AllisBrawl Smashers in Utah hosting any tourneys?
You guys need to find a way to get more people consistenly.

I've talked to a few people on allisbrawl that are interested in coming (I actually contacted EVERY SINGLE PERSON who had Utah in there location LOL. Like seven pages worth of people >_>), but none of them are hosting tourneys.

Edit: I'm going to be out till around 5ish, so if anyone has any questions just text me. 801-706-0689

You're cool dude, and I totally understand. I like to play off of jokes.
Come back soon, I actually have a summer I am planning on being involved in Brawl/Melee for.
I've just got too much free time right now.

And of course my mother knows nothing of this. xD
EDIT: Oh crap, I just realized that I can't nick a controller from my house right now, so I'll have to borrow a controller while I'm at your place Kenny.

Yeah... you may say that you want to draw in more people and make a bigger scene, but anyone who isn't already at least a little skilled is at best avoided and at worst shunned and ridiculed. If you mean it you'll go out of your way to play with the bad players and make them feel welcome by giving them tips or being friendly. I'm not pointing fingers; Kenny and Dryu have done this plenty of times. It's just something we always need to work on. That 12 year old who can only roll and fsmash with Ike is representative of a large group of players that would come if they were treated differently.

I could probably make it to this. I'll see me going 100% if two things happen.

Lanky come and play, I'll be there and you can beat me most of the time. Besides I bet you'll be done with Conduit before Saturday. :)

Well, I guess what I meant by making the Hunters 1-Player Mode longer is to improve the length the good way (without just adding repeatative stuff) and make it better in general; doing it from scratch is fine with me. Almost anything is better than just getting it exactly the way it was. But like it would matter to talk about it, as I doubt Nintendo would remake it (and the only thing I really liked about Hunters is that fact that there are a variety of bounty hunters across the cosmos each with their own unique abilities, anyway).
And I don't like the "3D Metroid" games that much. I just like it on the Wii. The concept of a FPS Metroid is awesome, but when it was on the GameCube, or even the DS, it didn't really click with me. But Corruption obviously did.
If you associate me with a franchise, pick Sonic. I just haven't played the recent ones since the Wii is getting screwed over even more in the Sonic department (e.g. Unleashed having more were-hog stages, etc.).

And I guess I'll go to FTS's fest, since vazor and Sada are coming. I'll bring the usual stuff. And when would it start/end?

Well, I was speaking for Nintendo franchises. I obviously don't like Fire Emblem enough to make it my favorite franchise. Especially how screwed up it is lately ever since they localized the games...

If you had to associate me with a franchise, it's definitely the Tales series. Too bad Namco sucks at promoting them here. :ohwell:

And you really should try out the handheld Sonic games DIMPS made.
They don't contain any romance between hedgehogs and humans. :)

I actually managed to nick a controller from home, so I won't need to borrow one from anybody.

Bring a couple bucks so we can get some pizza and really call it a party ;)
